Air tank fitting...

So how do I add an air fitting to this line?

Its a cheap HF tank, but it works great, but I want to be able to put a regular fitting on it so I can plug in my inflator.

Got any ideas? Tank holds 150 psi, but the chuck on the end is total ****.

Can I get away with a barbed fitting? I just use it to air up the tires or to power the nail gun when I only need to put in a couple nails. The end is crimped on. Would much prefer to be able to screw it into the gauge or just have a universal plug.

If it is a 3/8 hose you can use one of these.

Ive got them on my main air hose that is used everyday. They work great, and sure beat a barb fitting and a clamp.

Worst case, you could probably replace the whole hose - I suspect it's just threaded into the brass manifold.

I have a feeling that is 1/4" hose in the OP's picture.

Thanks again for pointing out the obvious solution that I clearly couldn't see.

I put a t in the line with valve and air fitting so I can connect it to the air system for a quick fill.
