Air Tool Fitting Compatibility Problem

I have a Shinano SI-1108B air ratchet. I use Milton 777 1/4" air fittings in the shop. The threaded hole in the ratchet where the air fitting goes is a bit smaller than the standard 1/4" fitting. How do I solve this problem? How do I get a Milton 777 onto the tool? Do they make Milton fittings with metric threads? If there an adapter metric to 1/4" pipe thread? What size thread is the standard Japanese air fitting? Thank you

You'll need to figure out what thread it is and get an adapter (bushing?) to north american pipe thread. Hose/hydraulics shops have this stuff if buying online seems daunting.

You'd been to figure out what fitting size the ratchet needs. It looks like you're using normal connectors so you should be able to get one that's already sized to fit the ratchet

Could easy be a metric thread. A lot of smaller air tools have a metric tapped hole in the housing, and an adapter is epoxied into the end of the housing to go to 1/4NPT. The small M10x1 aluminum adapters are the worst, because with high vibration, the adapter can crack off in the housing. I have had a couple die grinders do this sending the air hose whipping around the shop. Fortunately, I was able to extract the cracked off end and tap it for 1/8 npt. Typically this doesn’t happen with larger or steel adapters. Sometimes the epoxy on the adapter let’s go and the adapter unscrews from the housing when trying to remove the air fitting.

Thanks for all the advice guys. Right now I have an 1/8" ARO Fitting ordered. The ARO style is compatible with Milton Type A which is what I have. Spec sheet says it is tapped for an 1/8'' fitting. Never saw a tool tapped for 1/8'' fittings before. Oh well it is a very compact tool so something new.
