Air Tool Holder

I stole this idea from a snowmobile forum, and it's probably been shown on here before. Just thought I'd share how mine turned out. Cost me $2 in bolts. I had the washers, air fittings, angle iron, and paint already. Free'd up some space in my overflowing tool box. I NEED the HF top box, just don't want to drop $300 on one. Still trying to build up my air tool collection. Just got the air ratchet, had the impact and die grinder for over a year and use them a lot and they work great so far.

Griot's Garage has been selling a similar hang rack for prolly close to a decade.

While I hope it works for ya, the ease of theft / tool "walkaway" would be too high for me to use something like that ($100 IR grinders and $400+ S-O MG725 and $300 MG325 here). Add in the fact that gravity and heavy tools are not good "bedfellows" should a tool disengage and fall to the floor, and I couldn't do it.

I personally always thought those racked worked best mounted to a wall or workbench were they wouldn't face the pushing, pulling, and knocking a service cart would do thus keeping things safer.

I don't work in a shop, just my own garage so theft isn't a problem. Air Ratchet-$18 Die Grinder-$8 Impact-$35+2 yr warranty=$45. I see where your coming from though, just an idea that I saw, went and made, and thought I'd share. Just needed to free up some space, that's all
