I'll have to get pics when I make it to the garage, but I tool a piece of aluminum angle and milled in slots and hang the tools by their air chuck fitting. I'll post pics up here in an hour or so.

I made mine from steel angle iron. I drilled holes and used a cutoff wheel to cut to the holes to make the slots.

Here is the one that I made. I used the screws in the front of the gladiator Cabinets to fasten it up.

I used a 3/4" square piece of aluminum bar, drilled and tapped 1/4" NPT and used the HF coupling's with the male NPT to hang most of my tools off of. Seen it done on the Mac Tool Truck many years ago.

thanks for the suggestion......but I keep my air tools in drawers, except for tire/air blower/vacuum stuff they hang on 16 penny nails less the heads, driven into the garage door jamb behind the hinge......totally unusable space except for that

you will find that friends will ask to borrow things if they know you have them.......I didn't buy tools to make other peoples lives easier

I bought them for me to use and make money with:thumbup:

not other people.......they can buy their own tools

Me too, out of sight, out of mind. I hang less tools on the wall in this shop than I did in my previous one. My shop has more drawers than Victoria's Secret.

Here is mine, bad pics, but 1" square tube, cheap HF fittings welded to it, added a bracket and mounted to the unistrut around my garage door. This sits right above my hose reel.

Am I the only one that hates hanging air tools? I have mine laying in the tool box. All flat and NOT stacked on top of each other.

Capt. Chrysler

No, I stated I keep mine in drawers.....

so did OccupantRJ

like he said 'out of sight, out of mind'

One of my race buddies frowns on doing that. Is afraid that dust and stuff from the shop will get into the inside of the tools, puts them in drawers.

What do you thing about dust and stuff getting inside?

I usually don't have the time to fab something up, so I bought 3 lisle air tool holders for my box.

Im not worried about it. If your air chuck is laying on the garage floor is it gonna get dust in it? Probably. Be different If I was building motors for NASCAR.

If that is a concern then just cover the ends with valve stem caps, they fit on there nicely.

I like having the tools right by the air hose, so when I pull the hose out, I can grab the tool I want right there.

Maybe a little crude.....just a piece of wood with holes drilled, a handful of cheap HF fittings and screwed to the bottom of my cabinet.

Here is what I have, standard slots cut for the plug with a twist.

What's with the bungee cord? It keeps the adjacent tool from falling off/out of the rack when removing or replacing a tool, can be done with one hand.

I like to have a hose with a swivel end mounted on my die grinders so I made a rack that mounts on the wall so the hoses hang free and untangled. The hoses are 3 to 4 ft long.
