air tool rebuild kits

i need rebuild kits for:

Mac Tools: AW434B

snap on: IM31, IM51A

blue point: AT200A

the mac tools one leaks air really bad when not being used, the snap on 31 needs a little pin inside (1/2" long pencil sized pin), the IM51 has absolutely no power but works still, the blue point ratchet has no power but still works

where do i get parts for the blue point ratchet? i didn't see it on the snap on website and i don't know exactly what to buy either

where does the im31 leak air from?

it doesn't leak. it just doesn't turn or impact. i took it apart and saw a pin that was broken in half.

the im51 works but has almost no power.

the mac tools impact (probably the same as the thunder gun) leaks air when not being used but it still works pretty decent as far as taking rims off.

sorry i meant to ask where does the mac impact leak from? sometimes the bolts on the front come loose and need to be tightened. or the air fitting gets worn and leaks.

no its all tight. the fitting is a brand new milton. i think its leaking air out of the exhaust

When do you all use a rebuild kit?

I have an old IR2112 that needs a new trigger. It was my old shop gun, now it is going home. Should I just up and rebuild the whole thing first, or just the trigger? (it worked with the trigger, did feel like it had lost a little umph though)

Haven't done it yet, because I have really been wanting a new gun for home. Only issue is budget.

If it was running well do not rebuild it. Replace the trigger, grease the mechanism and run some light oil through it and it should keep on going strong.

I've never done it, but a few broken impacts on CL got me searching for parts, and I have noticed a few things.

Rebuild kit is just a few common seals and orings, the rest of the stuff that breaks; triggers, rotors, etc. are sold individually.

I've seen a few now listed as works, but no power, any guesses if a $25 rebuild kit is going to fix something like that?

i'd rather rebuild them myself then send them in with the snap on dealer and get charged $100 each. i could buy all new ingersoll rand stuff for as much as i could get my old stuff rebuilt

As stated alot of tools from Mac, Matco Cornwell ect are made by Ingersoll Rand. I have been rebuilding air tools for over 25 years. However these tool truck air tools changes alot because of whom on the outside is willing to build the tool in question with tool truck name on it for the best money.

i could buy all new ingersoll rand stuff for as much as i could get my old stuff rebuilt

I am with that concept, if it needs something more than simple than I can fashion it becomes scrap most of the time.

Just a note, I heard a while back that some of the parts for the SO IM51A are no longer available. Not totally sure which ones, though.

Yes that is correct. Snap-On it seems has gone to more buying parts as Complete Assy. My take on that is the updated version or revisions. Snap-On is famous for revising their tools. Its a good thing in a way. You have to just make sure you are spending more on updating your tool than the cost of trading in the old for the New.....
