Looked at lots of different ideas for storage of my pneumatic tools

Decided to try something I hadn't seen

Got a piece of unistrut from Lowes
Used a Milton coupler (715) with a Milton male coupler and a couple of flat washers.
Here it is during the assembly process. Will post pics when I get it Attached to the rafters/garage ceiling

I like the idea it should work well but why the male ends on the other side?

I can pull up on the coupler while squeezing the base of the tool

As time goes on I hope to replace them all with this

Air coupler that releases with a button instead of by pulling down like ones pictured
I sell them and come up with used ones every now and then

Hit the button and it releases air and disengages from tool

We have another one that you hit the button to release air, then hit button a 2nd time to disengage from tool

I would worry about debris dropping into the holes in the male fitting and into my tools. Plug the holes with silicone or use plug fittings instead?

Have a link to them? I'd like some.

Why go with this method rather than a slide-in rack? It's neat, but it's a lot more expensive with no perceived benefit.

I like the slide in design.
Only cost I had in this setup was the strut channel

May make a slide in for the blowguns-tire chucks-etc
Mount it low so my 12yr old can easily reach them

Will cap off the top holes this weekend
Where I have them connected to the rafters, didn't think of debris
Probably just pop vacuum caps on each one

Here is a pick of the rack installed. Need a few more couplers to add the rest of air tools (minus the nailers....too much weight)

I done slot one in some off cut alloy angle I got hold of, works great and if bend edge upward a little the tools stay in better so can work for mobile box.
I done one for stationary shop storage at bench and one on side of my tool cart so can hang/access air tools and nozzles quickly and easily. saves time and space massively .

Sure makes lubing your air tools easy. Just go down the line with the oil bottle and drop some into each coupling.
