Air tool ?

I have old Chicago pneumatic professional air ratchet that needs rebuilding, this thing is 20 some years old ,Is it worth the trouble to rebuild or can I just as well buy a new one for the price, not a frequent user any more but when I need it it don't have any power any more. Something I may use twice a year.Paul

Try running some BP Blaster air tool conditioner in it.

I dont mess with them if i got to buy parts. Look for a sale and buy a new one.

I actually find it fun to disassemble and clean air tools. Solvent, toothbrush, and for 38 bucks ereplacement parts has a tune-up kit. if you have a o-ring kit already and have to the go ahead and try, They are just too cheap to use a lot of time on.

I would rebuild it but that's just me.

Every piece in them is worn out, the housings, all the pins etc. I am not throwing 40$ in parts for a unit can be bought new for 100 and will last 2 or 3 times as long as a reman and work better.
