It's not the earthquake model, it's the $100 special one.

Honestly the air cat guns seem enticing because of the power to price ratio. But in my personal experience go with IR or Snap-on. My air cat 3/4 blew the hammer apart and locked her up. Cost $250 to fix. My shop paid for it so I'm not complaining. But it shouldn't of happened for the age and actual use. If i used it everyday like some people it would have broke the first 6 months i had it.

As others have pointed out. In general I think you might be very disappointed in the longevity and repair cost for Aircat. I was with the 1/2 Kevlar.

I know the price is very tempting, but I would avoid.

I've seen slightly used Ingersoll 2141 impacts go on ebay for under $200. Parts are readily available, and easy to repair. It's powerful and half the weight of the 261.

I will echo the AirCat's reliability issue. If you don't use them much they are powerful guns, just don't hold up to everyday use as well.

Had been using an old school CP 3/4" for awhile and it was time to upgrade. Picked up the 2145QiMAX and love it. Very light, better balanced (can actually use one hand), compact and good power. I like the controls on the IR the best compared to the older CP and my Snap on guns. I absolutely hate the snap on controls.

Its not terribly priced IMO. The new Proto guns look interesting, some pretty big numbers with them.

I'm looking at couple used 2145 & they fall into my price range. Kits are easy to get as well. I wont use it that often, I just want it to do its job.
In the process I picked up a 2135timax, I already have a 1100 ac lol.
