I am looking at getting either a Aircat 1000 TH or Nitrocat 1000 TC. Has anybody used both of these? How long do they last? A comparison would be great. Thanks.

Actually it has not been discussed a lot, I already did a search before posting. The first link is for a 3/8, which I don't need. It was no help. I already read the second, thanks for the comparison for IR. The third link is all about oiling, so it isn't much help. Aircat says that the TC never needs oil added because its sealed in an oil bath. It still needs oiled daily. The TH needs greased, and they recommend it for industrial use, so does it mean that it will last longer than the TC? I was really wondering about the 1000 TH, because there are not really any reviews on it. When I said a comparison, I meant for the TC vs TH. Hope that this cleared up anything. Eschoendorff please do go on, only if you think that you can help.

I have one - I LOVE IT! I have yet to find ANYTHING it can't take off.

I have both 3/8" & 1/2" Nitrocats, only time the 1/2" couldn't loosen a bolt it broke it off, luckily the part I was replacing was what it went into. HVLP fittings add quite a bit of oomph to any gun, even the cheap ones.

I have been using the 1000TC for quite some time now and have yet to find anything that it can't take off. I took the crank pulley/ harmonic balancer off of a DT466, which is heat pressed on.

I have a 1/2" and a 3/8" IR impact wrenches and think they are great. But if i get a air ratchet i'm definitely getting a aircat. Reviews of all of their products seem to be very good. That combine with the fact that they cost 1/2 as much as the competition and are quieter than all of them is enough to convince me.

Interesting that someone (a.pengue) has resurrected several Aircat threads in the last day to defend the product. Fan or employee?
