I have a 1/2 and 3/8" impacts (nitrocats) and really like them. I have had them for probably 5 years or so. Limited use as I am a DIY but they seem reliable and the 1/2" has some power to it.

You probably want some pro's opinion as they are far tougher on tools but good for DIYers from my eyes.

I have the Aircat 1150 Killer Torque 1/2" impact, and use it daily at work. It is actually comparable to my Snap On MG725 torque wise, and i find myself reaching for it more often due to how it feels in the hand. It is hard to convince yourself that a cheaper product is better than a more expensive one, but Aircat did good on this impact.

I have a Mac 3/8'' AW280Q which is an Aircat re-brand (dunno Aircat's number).
I've had it about three years, used to use it pretty well daily and seems pretty reliable. It really does have a lot of power. The only thing that kinda bugs me is the trigger feel.

I have the aircat 1/2 4450 drill, thing is almost silent and drills holes. All I needed it to do and it works great. If it were to break, I would buy it again.
