I have a unheated, uncooled, shop area. Certain times of the years humidity is a real problem. Some days there is visable moisture on metal equipment like the drill press, lathe, etc. Anyone use a paticular brand or type of chemical you use to displace this moisture and help prevent rust?
My shop techs like wd-40 to wash off dirt...then they will use PB Blaster next. If they want to take rusted parts apart they request GM Heat Riser spray..When it comes to leaving an oil type base the best, so far, is SeaFoam spray.
What does eveyone use? I have used 0-20 syn motor oil in squirt bottles on my lathe but I actually like the SeaFoam better for overall coverage. I've only used the SeaFoam spray the last year or two, but I like it.
