I was led to this forum while looking for some feedback on wrench racks and rails, of all things. I knew that garages were a bit of an obsession with some men but I was in awe of the throngs of guys active on a forum such as this. Its comforting to know i'm not alone with this illness and shall take comfort in the knowledge that other men the world over, lie in bed at night debating the same toolbox issues as I.
On a more serious note, I am a 50 year old HVAC/R mechanic that considers his garage as his sanctuary. I've only acquired my 2 car attached about 7 months ago when i bought my new house. Since then I have wired it, insulated, sheeted in with 1/2 inch plywood, finished the ceiling and had insulation blown in. I installed a lennox overhead heater, a 60amp subpanel and two specialized tire racks. I am in the process of building shelves and a workbench with steel drawer cabinets. I look forward to getting more great tips and ideas from all the creative minds that populate this site.
