It's one thing to design something that awesome but to fabricate it as well? That is truly an amazing display of talent. Well done!

EXACTLY.
MVSS - You've done the near impossible...you've got every guy on GJ jealous of your abilities AND of how you carried it out!

When you build the next one be sure to make a YouTube video.:bounce:

Next one? Next one? He's got so much time into this one I doubt there'll ever be another one. Of course there are a few guys here that might tempt him for the price of all materials and say $10,000 on top!!

You're right. Someone should have mass produced those back in the day, they'd have looked great in EVERY Texaco filling station!:dunno::bounce:

I need to browse GJ more. First time seeing this thread. Your workmanship on this bench is amazing. I read through the entire thread with my mouth hanging open. When I finally get a shop built I might have to build an Alemite tribute .....out of wood ! ( I don't know the first thing about working with metal ). I'm subscribed now.

A little unsolicited marketing for you assuming you can use an unexpected 10 large. I also assume (??) a second one would go a LITTLE faster/easier than the first one!
Thanks much! I could definitely use 10 large lol but I'm really wanting to get back to my car project. Although, ya never know what the future holds

The dual pads for vise mounting and the drip gutter along the front of the bench are nice touches. I hope you have matching vises to install. :)

Damn, that came out great! When the shiny bits go on it'll be the beauty queen of the entire garage.

I am truly impressed. I couldn't fab something like that if my life depended on it. HUGE kudos!

Orange peel? It’s a bench. Lol. If people look at the finish to close just say “hey what do you think of the floor?”
I assume you decided on the white doors? Also once the trim is on it will be a piece of art that anyone would be happy to own.
You need to make up a manufacturer’s plate for it too. You deserve it.

Amazing work! I have been following this thread looking forward to seeing the final product. Personally, i would have a very hard time using that as a work bench. It's to nice!

It's going to look great when you're done. If you painted an old car with high gloss BC/CC, it wouldn't look right. It's the same with a work bench. If you could see your reflection, it would feel like someone is always watching you.

I had a '69 VW Bug when I was a kid, and someone hit the front fender. The bodyman who painted it, "added" the orange peel to match the original paint.

I'm just going to add a WOW! This is the only thread I am sub'd too! I usually just read the unread from Fab & Tech and I hunt down Strouty's Salvage Garage, peruse General Tool's but yours was buried for awhile and I couldn't find it so I had to sub in. Harry P.S. This much detail and
Color! ... Not color sanding and buffing though
Really? That is a masterpiece and it NEEDS a shine even if it is "just a workbench" I need shades just to view that!
