Haha, yes "dropping it off at the polisher today" is equivalent to "here are my parts, will I ever see them again?" Or in the car painting world, "Paint jail" Sometimes upholstory shops as well for me it seems like.

That bench is going to finish out beautifully!

I didn't know that Geronimo was still in business after the fire.
He does some amazing work.

The bench is sure looking fine with the texaco badging on the red and white paint, and with the polished pieces going on it will be spectacular

He is picking up and dropping at American Materials, polishing in Pomona until new place ready.

I hadn't come back to this thread since you posted the pictures of the white doors and red stars installed. You could stop now and it would STILL be the nicest thing I've ever seen anyone fabricate for their own garage - all due respect to Don's stuff.

Can't wait to see the shiny bits on it. You realize it'll go faster then, right? ha ha

5 Star rating!

One of the best builds on the GJ, IMO. You've got some amazing talents- design, fabrication, bodywork, paint. And the rare ability to pull it all together.

Just WOW.

DAMN, dude! That looks BETTER than a real Alemite bench.

Love everything I see about it but especially the little Texaco cabinet knobs and the air hose so nicely added n the side - did real ones have that feature? I’ve only ever seen pictures of real ones.

Is the “D” on the front your initial?

Man, you an absolutely be PROUD of it. It’s a tribute to your skills that will last (unfortunately) longer than you or any of us. SO SO SO nice!

Thank you Dan! I added the air lines, don't think originals had them. Yes, the D is first letter in my last name. I figured I couldn't use an A Alemite badge lol

Cheese and crackers that’s ****** phenomenal. I wouldn’t be able to get anything done in the shop as I’d just come in and stare at it. It’s gonna be rough doing any work on it and not put any scratches in it.

Hahaha thanks! The black is epoxy pretty thick, takes a lot to mess it up but I hear ya, I'm gonna use other bench for dirty work

That is beautiful! I would have a hard time doing any work on it for fear of scratching it. Outstanding work.
