Maybe the same thing will happen next year after sears finds out that nobody wants to pay $12,000 for the new craftsman pro box.

Most likely; the new models are coming out (look at the new catalog) and they are moving out the old stock...

I know it's been mentioned before, but why is Sears.com so damn hard to navigate?

I had almost forgotten how bad it was since I don't check their site that often, but just trying to find these boxes on their site has given me a headache!!!!!

Seems like someone would have figured it out by now and changed it.

Anyone know why you cannot have an item shipped for free to a sears store from online? The box I'd like is not available for p/u at any store near me and I can't see wasting $200 of the savings for shipping costs.

I'm not an expert, but I think the items that you can pick up at a local Sears store are usually in stock at that store. They might ship smaller items to stores for pickup, but I can't see them shipping larger items like these boxes without charging the buyer something for shipping.

I`m not sure about a tool box but other items if you place order on the PC located IN the store the shipping is free.

Thanks fish. I'll go to the local store and inquire, it can't hurt.

I would just go talk to them. I ordered mine from one of the salesman...not the computer thingy (not the Cman Pro BTW) and shipping to the store was free. I think if you order it in store they may even ship to your house for free.

I did not see a single thing that was over about 15% off

what am I missing?

besides I am pissed at sears right now. I just found out that ai was turned in for collections for a charge on the sears card that I reported to be fraudulent over a year ago. I have called and called and yelled and all and they wont budge on it
damm crooks they are, and they have their heads up their *** as well

I saw savings but not 50%. A few hundred here and there. I agree...if I going to drop a few $$$$ on a new box...its going to be a mac or SO. (coming from a guy who is totally happy with his Cman boxes). Just for that kind of money I would rather make the jump to a truck brand. I'm already saving up for a new box.

I've been watching a 3 drawer 26x18 intermediate box for a LONG time. Used to be $149, price went up to $159, and periodic drop to $143 with free shipping to the local store. Today its $115, but no free local pickup, $20, so still not buying it.

Chris did you ever sell that 18" intermediate box?

No, didn't bother, never put up an add. Figured it wasn't taking too much space. I put my lockout tools and paperwork in it.

Don't care if I sell it or not, but since I did offer, it is there. I'm up on the desert if you recall, quite a ways from OC.

Mine was half off 10 yrs. ago when they were the "industrial" series.
Had to swap out the top box as the lid was hopelessly tweaked when
it arrived. They wouldn't just swap tho, went thru a drawn out process
of refunding the damaged one and then charging the replacement at
the original sale price. The refund showed up on my sears card but
somehow the new charge never did...
