I needed an adapter for a bluetooth device. I could only find them on AliExpress. They were coming from China, and would take weeks, so I ordered a new Bluetooth device that they claimed was sourced in the USA.

The new device took over two weeks to arrive, just days before the adapter coming from China. The bluetooth device easily connected to my phone, but when I tried to use it, it started speaking to me in Chinese! My friend on the other side of the call said it sounded like I was in a wind tunnel.

I tried to leave feedback on AliExpress, but their website takes you down a rabbit hole. I gave up after a few tries.

Long delivery times, cheaply made products and a website that prevents feedback. Never again.

Sorry Plombob... I just finish watching the Jimmy Kimmel interview with Mike Lindell ... and reading this is cracking me up....

A link to your claimed device ?

Usually they used those cheapest rated carrier and 2 weeks is about right... the tracking would have tell you where the package is originated.

Once your package leaves the "country of Origin" it seems to get lost in the abyss for weeks at a time. Could take 60 days to reach you. Here in Canada once the package reaches Customs it is lost again for 15 to 30 days. You get the tracking message "Failed import inspection" whatever the hell that means.

Here ya go dogdog!
https://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/0.html?spm=a2g0s.9042647.6.2.1f724c4dYx4AfV&orderId=8129098213946910&productId=1005002064252632

If that link doesn't work, here's the store:
https://www.aliexpress.com/store/5029148?spm=a2g0s.12269583.0.0.2e595c0eLIlXkn

Looking at the store, the bluetooth device is $1.00 cheaper now! I coulda had one for $1.32!

I can see 2 weeks for something coming from overseas, but that long for a package coming from New Jersey to Tennessee?

from one of your links the productId=1005002064252632.

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002064252632.html

It says it's drop shipped.... that NJ address probably one of those hubs... I know the ebay items I buy are similar, if the hub is from Los Angeles, it would take me over two weeks, only the final designation or if I remember correct the term last mile delivery is USPS...

The 48 hours, says they will ship the item within 48 hours exclude the holiday I think ( it's unspoken rules). Still the transit time with what ever carrier they used... probably not one of the Major ones we see (UPS,FEDEX,USPS,DHL etc)

as far as quality... well $2.50 don't take you too far these days. But to be fair, my Sony radio with bluetooh link sounds like that crappy, one of the first generation bluetooth radios. Then the Honda build in ones is superb. go figure but its about 20x more.

Be careful to buying Chinese product.
^^^
LOL...

I just remember something after re-reading OP's thread about wind tunnel...

Maybe try an TRRS extension cable and take the device away from the speakers... the mic in that bluetooth might be picking up the noises from the speakers, causing echos. probably poor filtering or it is just at the right spot that can cause this.. Sort of like that echoing ring when you take your mic near a speaker and tries speak at the same time.

I bet there are ways to change it into English. I bought one before, sounds like the same as yours. But I contact the company and they asked me to download an app where i can change the language. But the thing is why can't they just change the language for us since it is delivered abroad. I just need to ask more question before buying from them
