Hunter machines are the standard, for an accurate machine that is easy to use. Ebay lists a lot of them available in the older models. The technicians that service Hunter equipment can repair just about any of them even the 40 year old ones. The newer they are the easier they are to use. The older A-G models use strings to connect the heads and cables back to the control unit. The newer units use lasers or other lights to see the other units. The newest $40,000 units use only lasers to read the heads instead of strings, lights, and cables to connect back to the control unit. I have seen some of the G models as low as $350 on Ebay. Get familiar with models and happy hunting. The racks with runways I have seen any where from $500 to $8000. The older racks don't have free floating rear decks for 4 wheel alignments. That could be over come with front turntables used on back wheels.

I cringe with atlas stuff, only experience was with a tire machine of course they claimed it was just as good as the real brand name ones but cheaper, well it was a POS. the buyer liked it cause it saved money and he didn't have to use it.

hunter ftw

John Beam makes them, which is owned by SO and by everything I have seen is just as expensive as Hunter. Also if Bear is still in business. I think Boush make alignment machines too.
