So, I have several outbuildings with multiple exterior fixtures, I also have multiple runs of landscape lights on different LV transformers plugged into different receptacles. I know there are "smart" systems that have switches and receptacles that can talk to each other over long distances, do any of you guys have a setup to recommend? What I would like to be able to do is turn all the exterior lights on or off at the same time, with one flick of the switch, remote control over my smartphone would be an added benefit.

I am using a Lutron Caseta (Home Depot purchase) to remotely turn on my garage lights, and it works very well with my garage about 75 feet away. I also purchased the surface-mount frame for the remote, so it looks like a wall light switch.

I believe this is the switch I purchased, since I just wanted remote control for one switch. I have not tried to integrate it with Alexa or any other system.

My new house had 10 exterior lights on 7 switches spread out across 6 rooms... i feel your pain.

I use a hubitat hub to run z-wave switches.
The benefit of this system is that doesn't need wifi networks to work or doesn't even need to be connected to the internet whatsoever. If you do connect it to the internet, there is an app that lets you access devices. There is a little bit of a learning curve, but its not that bad considering what it can all do .

I do that with Leviton smart WiFi switches. All run from my phone. Any switch in any house in any state can be linked if needed.
