30X48 steel building that was built with 2" blanket insulation installed on the roof only during the build and no insulation on the walls and no thermal break innstalled between the outside sheet metal and the gurts. Im in the process of installing R19 fiberglass with craft paper face in the walls would a thermal break tape installed on the gurts on the insde of the building before the dry wall is put up help in isolating the heat transfer from the out side metal and gurts ? is this install going to have condensation in the walls ?

The tape certainly won't hurt. Condensation is about controlling moisture. if you can keep the actual water vapor from touching the cold surfaces you are winning. Is there a vapor barrier under the concrete? You may want to consider a continuous vapor barrier over the insulation and under the drywall. Vapor barrier paints are also available. If you are parking equipment or vehicles try to remove as much snow as possible before parking.

There is a poly sheet vapor barrier under the slab pour but no insulation. I did a suggested vapor test of the floor by taping all 4 sides of a sheet of poly to the floor and look for signs of vapor after 24 hours, there was no signs after 3 weeks. The building sits high on all 4 sides and is well drained being on a hill relative for the area. I have been taping the seems of all of the insulation as its installed and wasnt sure about the gurt tape.
