I do a lot of stuff where I don't have a nice flat concrete floor to work from.
Ever try to use a creeper on gravel? Or a tool cart being dragged over ruts?
So I was thinking of going with some bigger, wider wheels, some with wheel locks.
HF has a big wheel mechanics roller seat which game me the idea.
Anyone build a monster creeper?

Ayuh,.... I bought a Dog Bonez creeper years ago, 'n Love it,...

It moves fairly easily with it's 5" wheels,...

I've found that thick cardboard like they put in between two pallets of products or washers dryers and refrigerators come in work well on the gravel driveway that I normally have to work on top of.

A 2'X4' piece of 1/4" plywood or old carpet works well around the yard. I keep a small tarp in the truck for use when away from the shop.

The bone seat looks ideal. The bone creepers interfere with my shoulders too. The idea is good.
I have a bunch of cardboard to use under vehicles. I just am not going to lay out 100 pieces to roll the carts on. Plus they would just get pierced. And a big wheel creeper is way nicer than the shimmy, shimmy wiggle under the vehicle and back out a dozen times.

I can say. The bone creeper is not worth the money, mine gas a hard time rolling across the cracks ( cut seams) in the concrete.

I have an old treadmill mat to work on, which is nice because it offers more cushioning than cardboard. Plus just roll it up once you are done, it stores nice and compact.

As far as tools I use a tool tote and load it up with everything I think i'm going to need. I would hate to have to wheel my box or even a tool cart out to the car every time I wanted to do something.

There are other options than a bone rough rider for creepers. King Crawler makes a few.

Unless you are HE Man, there is only so much you can tote. Weight and size dismisses all totes. Sometimes you don't want to make a hundred trips to get what you forgot.
The HF casters don't have any wheel locks. I may load the trailer with several tools to bring to the site and sometimes it is hilly.
