Woodstock is where I commonly go, they seem to have median sized wrenches, sockets, and ratchets. Big wrenches are only in their house brand and, oddly enough, gearwrench ratcheting brands.

When were you there last? I'm thinking that big section of sockets, ratchets & extensions that they had were all gone. I want to say Duracraft was in its place but don't remember now. I had run through there pretty quick so I didn't really look too hard.

Almost all of my Allen stuff came from there, a few pieces from Menards.

Last Friday, picked up some ATF and Oil so I can't say I looked into the tool section too hard.

They definitely have more open stock Duracraft and Geawrench now.

This should be a link to some of Mills Fleet Farm's current Allen offerings...

http://www.fleetfarm.com/category/tools/hand-tools?q=&categoryId=00617&brand=&q_facetTrail=1014%3A00617%3A1002%3AAllen&howMany=72

They carry more in the store than they show online. Mostly in the wrenches and sockets tool family.

I agree Menards Masterforce brand wrenches and sockets appear to be rebranded made in USA Allen. But that's only wrenches and sockets. Use caution on some of the other Masterforce, much of it is very good, but some (pliers come to mind) not so much.

Anyway, the Allen stuff I have picked up from Fleet Farm is rock solid and all USA made.

My condolences to the OP for his loss.

I was not familiar with the Allen brand of tools and boxes, they look very nice and sound like they were excellent quality when made in the US. From what I have read here it looks like they are being gobbled up by one of the big guys and slowly disappearing.

OP, lucky you to have such a fine set of tools, and the memories that go with them.
