Does anyone know where to find a new plastic case for a 64 pc Allen socket set? Love the tools but the latches broke. Thanks

Maybe a good way to fix mine?

Got a pic of the case? Allen has been defunct for several years. I always thought their stuff was decent. Sure wasn't cheap.

Metal hinge riveted or screwed thru the plastic case?

Can you post a picture of it? I picture in my mind the paper thin section that gets blow molded to make a "hinge" that has a lifespan measured by a number of cycles less than 100.

Thanks for the replies. It died because of overuse, but really it lasted 25 years.
Fedwrench, I'll have a look at cripe, thank you.

I'll check into adding a latch but maybe a belt will work.

Perhaps a piano hinge for added durability? +1 on checking cripe- they carry tons of NOS apex/Danaher stuff at really good prices.

Not exactly what you requested, but when the blow molds get beaten up I switch to steel cases. Depending on the size of the set, you can use socket rails, magnetic strips on the bottom, or cut out foam. Far more durable and usually more compact. You can get them in different sizes and with/without dividers.

Also great for making custom "sets" of things for specific jobs/purposes.
