I bought a craftsman tool set end of last year. The Allen wrenches came in some fancy craftsman ziplock bags. I figured I could deal with it. Well it's driving me insane!:willy_nil Anyone know where I can find just the holders like the ones that come with them here. http://m.craftsman.com/craftsman-26-pc-standard-and-metric-ball-end/p-00946274000P

I don't care if they are craftsman brand or not. I did some Google searching and couldn't find much. Someone has to make decent allen storage.

You probably could make one just take a board and drill out holes to fit your allen wrenches in and so you could tell the sizes write the size beneath the allen wrench it matches that way it would fit your needs and your set.

junk-man has a good inexpencive idea.

those L shaped allen are ok until you get a set of 3/8 socket allens.
now those are only for tight spots.
and after many years i finally broke down and bought the "T" handles.
i love and use those suckers a lot.
my allens are in a cigar box.

It might be cheaper to buy a set from Harbor Freight and just throw out the HF allen wrenches.

Don't throw them out, cut them off just before the bend and use the long part in appropriate size sockets as long socket wrenches. Even better if you buy the ball-end ones and use them in the sockets.

I have a metric/SAE sets of Eklind L-keys in their original plastic holders. I wouldn't mind finding a storage index similar to this, although in metal:

Anyone come across such a thing?

Snap-On used to supply their hex key sets in a steel case made in Germany by DrilBox, a company mostly known for the steel drill bit cases they supply to manufacturers such as Triumph, Lawson, and Precision Twist.

I don't know whether it's still possible to purchase the index separately from Snap-On. These may be the indexes. You might want to check the lengths they're made for.
