I haven't seen a thread on this so I thought I should bring it to the forum's attention. I stumbled across an auction on eBay where seller airbuff101 is selling what he says are vintage tools from the Alloy Artifacts collection: he has about a dozen auctions active right now and they all seem to be 40's and 50's Snap On and Plomb. Since these tools are old they seem to be selling cheap. Search for seller: airbuff101

From the site, seems legit.

April 28, 2016: Tool Sales To Begin Shortly

The previously announced sales of our tool inventory will commence on or about April 29 with listings by EBay seller airbuff101, a highly experienced seller who is probably well known to many of our readers. The pace and timing of the listings will be determined by the seller, but readers can expect to see several dozen or more lots offered every week."

It has been having a Barrett Jackson effect with other sellers. I have been entertaining the idea of buying some Herbrand combination wrenches with the V opening, about the last quality Herbrand product. There is an ebay seller asking $45 to $60 per wrench.
Not gonna happen....

I generally don't see any prices jumping due to this sale. If anything it could depress some sales. (Supply just grew...)

If something really rare shows up that could be different.
