I bought a brand new Powerbuilt clutch alignment kit for $3 at swapmeet. I decide to look into it and found out Powerbuilt is a trademark of Alltrade. I was surprise to find out that Alltrade also make tools for Snap On. Can't imagine Snap On and Powerbuilt on the same level.

A side note. Anybody use Powerbuilt digital torque adapter. Watch one of their video? I may want to get one.

I just looked at that website. Those "Snap-On" tools are the most Chinese looking things ever. I can't see how SO put their name on junk like that. I would never buy an air nailer from Snap-On. From Bostitch, Hitachi, etc. yes but not from Snap-On.

Another attempt from Snap-On to advertise on a different level and to different trades while outsourcing. I'll stick to the US made hardline mechanics tools.

Alltrade is an American company (just like HF) headquarter in Long Beach, California, but all their tools are manufactured either in China or Taiwan.

Where do they sell these SO nailer? In the truck? I have not seen them in Home Depot, Lowe, or any other hardware stores.

My first set of screwdrivers were Alltrade. They were prchased around 1990. I've been looking for some more ever since. They have gray handles that are very very similar to Snap-on hard handles. No indication where they were made though.

I wouldn't describe the Alltrade stuff branded Snap on as tools. I think of it more as publicity items. Getting the Snap on name out to the masses. I think it cheapens the brand but, that's just me.:wtf:
