Had my entire house redone with this siding almost two years ago. Noticed about a year ago that there were small cracks around windows and randomly in the middle of some of the walls. Contacted them about their warranty (30yr) and after going round and round with them they sent me a letter and told me it was due to installation.
The contractor who did the instillation did a stellar job and it looks amazing. He’s done many before and since, so I honestly don’t believe it’s the installation or else there would be cracks everywhere. Had the foundation checked and it’s not the issue either, nor is the house settling as there aren’t any indications of this either.
My point is I was sold on this product being as good as the original Hardy Board cement siding and went with it. I now wish I would have paid the minimal extra cost and went with the known brand.
If your looking to do any cement siding just know that they (like most companies these days) won’t honor their warranty that they use as a selling point.
They offered me a $91 “good faith” reimbursement on the thousands I spent on their product. What a joke.
Hope no one else runs into this same issue.
