Took advantage of a dry day today and put down my RaceDeck floor. I was going to wait until a few last jobs were done, but dry days this time of year are few and far between Since I had to haul my stuff outside to lay the floor,,,I jumped at the chance.

Anyways, the garage is 19x19 and is about 14 years old. I don't have any before pictures...was to anxious to get going!!...It was basically sheet rocked and taped and mudded once and had a row of pine shelves on the back wall. Lighting was a bunch of el-cheapo T12 work lights hung from the ceilings via the el-cheapo chains.

So here is what I did:

Replaced a big chunk of dry wall where a pipe froze seveal years ago..Back then I just did a quick patch, but since I was going to paint this time, I had to replace a 4 x3 section and make it look decent.

Made spot repairs on other dings and dents in the drywall. Wish I would have done more detail in this step...e.g. fixed more of the minor boo-boos. Painting makes them show more

Applied texture to walls and ceiling

Installed 12 4ft T8 2 bulb fixtures which are mounted to the ceiling..no more chains!

Primed and painted ceiling (Ceiling White) and walls using colors to match the floor (Orange, Black, Alloy, Graphite). Satin finish on all from Sherwin Williams. Also patched, primed and painted foundation (Graphite)

Installed Ultimate Pro Cabinets (5 GA 25 and 1 GA 08)

Did a general cleaning of everything including garage door, door tracks, furnace, HW heater, etc.

RaceDeck floor..Glad I found this site and got the GJ discount..THANKS RD!

Still have a few things to do Like I said I wanted to get these done before the floor, but weather decided it:

Install handles on cabinets
Backsplash above sink. Need to decide material yet.
Finish floor around stairs, furnace, etc..Going to require some cutting so I am leaving this for another day.
Electrical and cable cleanup (see big bunch of cables in photo)

I am sure something else will come up too!

Here is a couple of pics..sorry for the stuff in the foreground..all the stuff sitting in the driveway so I could do the floor

Re-do looks very nice. What is the size of your sink? I have a fiberglass laundry tub in my garage, but I think it is too big. I think it is like 24"X24". Yours seems to not stick out as far from the wall and till be deep. Thanks
