My nephews came and helped me get the shell up. I have been building this on my property which is 4 hours from where I live, so the progress has been slow. I envy you guys that got to build on flat land without rocky soil.

Excavating/pouring the footer/taking a nap (these young guys can't handle it) and shelling it out.

Looks like a nice area. You should have plenty of room when finished. You planning on building a house on the same property at a later date?

A couple of questions. What city in TN? How bad were the local powers that be on permits and the cost of permits? The good lord willing and the creeks don't rise I just might get to move to eastern TN next year. TIA walt

I am in Whitesburg, Hamblen County, which is just out of Morristown. Permit was about $300 or so. If I had not gotten the permit and built the shop first, I would have had to subdivide my land to build the house. If you move here you will love it.

If you are a hotrodder, there are a bunch of us in this area.
