Hi All,

Wow, it's been a really long time since I've posted here. I wish it were under better circumstances.

AlphaGarage.com is suspending sales due to a significant health issue. No one is sure when AlphaGarage.com will be able to resume sales, but they hope to resume within the next 60 days (December 15, 2013).

Wolverine Coatings Corporation will NOT accept orders for the DIY market during this time. However, if you are an AlphaGarage.com customer who is in the midst of a project we will support you with whatever you may need to finish your project.

Obviously this situation is and has been completely out of anyone's control. We understand that some people may be frustrated if they were planning to make a purchase in the near future. However, this is expected to be temporary and we would ask for your understanding.

Please link to this post in forums if you see people asking about AlphaGarage.com. I'm sure that Fred would appreciate that.

This is no surprise to God and He is sovereign over the earth. Please pray for Fred during his recovery.

Added 1/13/2014: Fred is out of ICU and is now at a Restorative Care facility. The new projected time to resume business is sometime in April 2014. Thanks for your kindness and understanding.

Sorry to hear this. I didn't know Fred on a personal level, but he responded in a few threads I participated. Thoughts and prayers out to him and his family.

Hi All,

I don't have a lot of information I can share. All I can really say is that Fred is making progress. He is still in the hospital and is going to be there for at least another week or two. Please continue to pray for him and his wife through this hardship.

Thanks,
Eric

On the business side, we've received a few phone calls asking us to recommend competitive products. There are enough people here selling competitive products and we don't intend to pick one over another. The best advice I can give is to compare the specifications of different products. Most of all... some products are made in China... Bad idea! If they put ethanol in the dog food (remember our dogs dying) you know they are going to put some lead in the paint (much easier to hide cause your dog doesn't die... right away). So, in addition to just being a patriotic American (and supporting American workers) there are some good reasons to ensure that what you buy is made in America!

Thanks again for your prayers!
Eric

Hopefully Fred recovers fully, and the sooner the better.

I'll hold off on my order till all is back to normal...it'll also give me time to clean-up, prep etc.

Good News!

Fred is still in the hospital but has improved enough to come out of the ICU. Please continue to pray for him. He still has a very long road ahead to a full recovery. However, he IS expected to make a full recovery!!!

Wolverine Coatings, hi, you might remember me from almost 5 years ago. I'm in Charlotte, an installer messed up my floor with your coating and you came to the rescue. Between you and Fred you guys really turned a bad situation around. I was just about to give Fred's information to a friend when I saw this post.

My thoughts and prayers are with him.

p.s. your floor has been awesome, it withstands all kinds of punishment in my little home garage and still looks great.

Update... Fred has been up and down. It seems as if he moves a step forward that he takes one back. This road is proving to be longer than originally thought. He is still in ICU and has been in ICU for almost 3 weeks. The doctors are trying to get him strong enough to breathe on his own. Fred is alert when he is conscious which means that he is also frustrated. They still expect him to make a full recovery it is just taking much longer than they expected.

Please pray specifically that Fred's lungs would begin to heal and strengthen. Fred, his family, my family, and the Wolverine family all really appreciate you guys praying for him.

Hi All,

Thank you all so much for your kind words for Fred. I consider myself to be so lucky to have been involved with him for so long. Fred really is a good guy with a good heart.

I'm happy to report that after almost 2 months in the ICU that Fred will be discharged today or tomorrow from the hospital to go into a respiratory therapy facility. He still has a long way to go and is not out of the woods yet. They expect Fred to be in this facility for about a month.

I have two things that I need to convey to you guys.

First, if i were in Fred's position I would appreciate all of the support and encouragement I could get. If you have a few minutes and want to send an encouraging note to Fred send him an e-mail at: [email protected].

Second, in the first post in this thread we obviously thought that Fred would be back to business sometime in December. That is just not likely to be realistic. As it stands as of today, the new projection is that Fred would be healthy enough to resume operations in mid February. Could it be sooner? Yes, but it could also be later.

If waiting longer than what this thread says will cause you any pain at all, please buy something from someone else. Don't feel bad about it. Yes, I'd like to protect Fred as much as possible. And Yes, Fred would really appreciate an influx of business when he gets back. Hospitals are expensive. However, neither Wolverine Coatings nor Fred would want anyone to be hurt in any way. Also, please spread the word about 'mid February' if anyone should be posting about AlphaGarage.com.

Again, please take a minute to send Fred a quick note of encouragement. ([email protected]).

Thanks,
Eric

It's been awhile since I've left an update. Fred continues to improve in the Restorative Care facility. He saw his first sunlight since October over the Christmas holidays. His progress is going a little slower than he would like.

In my last post I passed on that Fred hoped to be back at it in mid-February. It looks like that estimate was a bit optimistic. As it stands as of today, the new projection is that Fred would be healthy enough to resume operations in April. Could it be sooner? Yes, but it could also be later. Again, I'm doing my best to pass on information as it is passed to me. If waiting longer than what this thread says will cause you any pain at all, please buy something from someone else. And, don't feel bad about it.

None of this is a surprise to God. Fred will have the business he needs when life returns to normal. Please say a prayer for him when you think about it.

Hi All,

I had a great conversation with Fred's brother Bert over the weekend. Things are really looking positive for Fred. He is on schedule to resume operations sometime in April. That is good news given the many setbacks that we've seen over the last 5 months.

Thanks to all for your concerns and prayers for Fred!

Wow... this has really been a long road. I think we are on the 8th month.

I got great news from Fred's brother today. Fred has progressed to the point that they are starting to plan his release from the hospital in the next couple of weeks. I'm not sure what that will mean for AlphaGarage and I don't have any idea on the time frame.

If you are visiting this thread to see the potential time frame to order products I would advise you to just order alternative materials. No one has guessed any time frames right so far and I'm not about to post another guess.

Above all, please continue to pray for Fred and his family.

My thoughts and prayers continue to be with Fred and his family! There was someone else in this industry of ours last year that survived a form of brain cancer that could have killed him on several occasions. PRAYER WORKS.

Thanks for the update!!! Tell Fred we are still thinking of him and he is in our prayers. I hope he will feel well enough to start communicating with all his friends soon. That will start getting his spirits up.

I had heard that he was better and back working again but I don't know. The web site is still up but Fred hasn't been back on the forum. Send him an email from the web site and see if he answers.

Hello All,

First allow me to introduce myself, my name is Bert (FJ4FUN)and I am Fred's "younger" brother. I have been assisting Fred with turning the lights back on at AlphaGarage for the last few months. At first the intent was to just handle the day-to-day back office related tasks but as Fred's medical situation continues and his full recovery likewise is delayed he and his wife have asked me to take on a more active role with AlphaGarage. I have been involved with AlphaGarage since it's beginning and am committed to continuing the highest level of customer service that Fred has built his reputation on in support of Wolverine Coatings and the Garage Journal Forum at large.

We wanted to take a moment to thank ALL of you for your prayers and kind words. Please keep them coming!! While Fred has made significant progress over the last 16 months there are still some serious hurdles to overcome but he remains focused and optimistic.

I look forward to a great year in 2015 and am excited to be a part of this group.

-Bert

Happy to hear that Fred is dong better but sad to see it's taking so long. I am glad to see that you will be keeping Alpha Garage going because I think your Wolverine products are top notch. I have beaten on my floor for almost 2 years now and it still looks great.
