I forgot to mention the 6 gallon porter cable compressor I bought didn't include a hose. I was looking at the 3/8 legacy flexzilla 50 ft hose, anybody have one of these or know if they are any good?

I'd get the 30 foot Flexzilla, I have the one that came with the reel, I love it. Some people whine about the hose getting dirty because it's bright green, however it's a tool and is meant to be used and get dirty. You can't go wrong with Flexzilla.

I bought an accessory package that came with a 25ft coil hose, I just wanted a longer more durable one for other jobs. Is 50 ft too long, why do you recommend the 30?

Definitely Flexzilla. I've swapped all the hoses in the shop over now. The cheapos that came with our cheapo reels lasted a couple months before all 4 had split at the fitting. I hacked them together with barb fittings until that got old. Of the 3 remaining, 2 got Flexzilla, one got Goodyear rubber. Just last week the Goodyear, at about a year old (and more expensive) split at the end too.

I'd get a 3/8x50. It's so flexible the length is easily managed. Whatever you do, don't try running your impact off the coil hose, except for your own entertainment... it probably wouldn't loosen an oil drain plug.

Yep I just got the coil hose and accessory package for all the fittings and filling tires, etc. I haven't bought the impact yet and knew I was going to need a better hose for the bigger air tools, so I think I will go ahead and buy the 50 ft. Thanks!
