I’ve been playing with my “new” thirty year old two post lift and finding all sorts of other uses for it. Anyone else?

I unload everything out of my pick up with mine. I actually have a brand new welder in my truck right now that I'll be unloading with my two post once I get home.

just make sure your lift arm locks do lock good and solid . lots of the cheeper lifts they do not lock as good and under a lifting and pulling load can swing a arm out and possible load shift and damage .

I used my new lift to lift my old lift into a buddy's pickup, and he used his 4 post lift to lift the lift back out when he got home!

I used mine as much for loading/unloading stuff and other non-conventional stuff as I did for lifting cars. Here I have my welding table at a more convenient height for some modifications. I miss my lift... and that shop a lot!IMG_20151016_215522466.jpg

I found a non conventional use for mine this weekend. I was breaking down tires on a couple old aluminum wheels to put sealer on the beads. I had been placing a 12 inch 4X4 block on tire bead and levering down with a section of box tubing. All was going good until got to last bead. Spent over hour messing with it and just couldn't get it to push down enough to break bead. After roaming the garage looking for quick solutions, I thought I've got over 2 tons on that lift with the car on it. So lowered down off the locks with tire on floor under. Places 4X4 between arm and tire bead and slowly eased it down. Popped tire right off. Only wish I'd thought of it 2 hours earlier.

I use my lift to service my zero turns. I use one ratchet strap hooked into the frame cradle holes on the lift arms, and ran under front end of the mower to the other side. Then use two straps hooked to the frame on the rear and up it goes.
