Looking for a outdoor fixture for the front of a new barn that would be mounted 18ft high. I live near a river in a country setting with a lot of wildlife. Therefor I'm looking for night/animal friendly fixture in the 3000k range. I really like the D-Series Size 1 or 2 by Lithonia for the full light cutoff and available PIRH sensor option for security and energy savings. The problem with this fixture is the cost of around $750. I'm looking for an alternative fixture with similar attributes at a lower cost.

so many choices.
Atlas makes great stuff.
Philips LytePro, if they still make it.
ProliteLED.com offers some interesting wallpacks.

Most of the lights offered by the major manufactures can be had in 3000 or 3500*k. You probably will have to special order it.

I'm guessing that PIRH option is adding quite a bit of cost, but I've never priced something like that so I can't say for sure,.

cybrdyke, thanks for the suggestions as I had not run across them in my searches. Of the choices there, they were all more expensive.

Bert, Yes it appears that the combination of features demand a higher price since most LED fixtures have dimming in base models and PIR sensors with dimming are not that expensive individually. Part of my building security includes PIR sensors on selected lighting fixtures, therefore if some one approaches and/or enters the building the lighting will indicate there presence.

I am still Hopeful I can find a dusk till dawn fixture in the <3000K range with dimming and PIR sensor incorporated. Any suggestions are welcome.

The Atlas should be much less than $200.
The Prolite should be around $150.
Worth every penny over the internet junk that's out there.

cybrdyke, Perhaps I'm over looking something, but I am not seeing a fixture that fits my needs at those prices. Could you give me the model info or links to the ones your referring to.

cybrdyke thank you for the links. These Atlas lights are the ones I had searched through. The problem with them is they are not supplied or appear to be able to accommodate a PIR sensor. I have scoured there site on these lights looking for a way to incorporate a dimming PIR sensor into the fixture, but found nothing. I am also trying to avoid having to modify a light fixture as I have plenty of other thing that have a higher priority (time wise). The thought here is that with a dimming PIR sensor I can put up a brighter light than I would normal since when it is not being motion activated its output would be ~30% of total output, saving cost and lengthening fixture life. It would also serve as a security light as noted in previous post.
