I have a pump jack setup with aluminum poles. There isn’t any holes in the uprights. I want to secure them and not just through the pump jack which can be removed. Any ideas?

Also has anyone made a raiseable tray between trusses so in my lift bay I can store ladders and this up in the attic with a winch setup? Figure would have to box it in for insulation.

Nobody?
Think I’m going to drill through the posts at the top as I probably won’t ever go higher then this height with additional pieces.
Still interested if anyone has an elevator thing for storage

When I rented an alum a pole set, it came with adjustable brackets that clamped onto the uprights and was lag bolted at the top and at the bottom below the walk board to the house.
For storage we have stairs and a chain fall. So nothing heavy goes up.

Check out Lynn Ladder website for what they rent and sell. Maybe you are missing these brackets?

Ive got a bunch of alum-a-pole posts and pumps. Are you missing the top brackets? I would hesitate to drill unnecessary holes, as there is no need if you have the top mount brackets.

Alum-a-pole have a lifetime warranty. Give them a call and they will attempt to resolve over the phone. If not possible they will send replacement parts.

Do not drill or modify the jacks. They will likely void warranty and may compromise the integrity and safety of the system.

Not sure I understand exactly what you guys are talking about. Each pole has no holes in them. Each has the bracket to attach to building, the pump jack and a safety workbench bracket. The tops of the poles are open with a triangle plastic piece that guides extensions added. I will check out that site to see if there is something more I don’t have.

I'm thinking Kaizen's "secure" is anti theft while not in use vs affixed to the structure while in use/

Yes exactly. Sorry for being so vague. No problems securing to the building in use. Problem is changing them and platform together so they are not stolen. I do hope to store indoors after so this is temporary.

The issue is becoming clearer!
My GL policy prohibits me from leaving scaffolding/staging up overnight, that having been said, there theoretically have been times that I possibly might have forgotten to take them down.

If I WAS going to leave them up overnight (hypothetically) I'd chain the pick to the trolleys and keep it run all the way up. Exit via a ladder, remove ladder.

FWIW, my trolleys have chains mounted to the carrier arms, these chains then go through the rungs on the underside of the pick and keep the pick locked in place.

Be aware that the set-up could be construed as an "attractive nuisance" should anyone get injured on them after hours, and the person that set them and left them could potentially be liable.

I can try to get a pic tomorrow of the chains if yours aren't there.

Lol not clear enough yet. I’m talking with it laying on the ground. I took the jacks off and store inside. The pick and posts are presently stored outside and looking for some way together.

I just ran a chain with padlock through walk board, work bench, safety ends and piled it all on the uprights even though it was in the backyard. If someone wanted the uprights they would have made quite the racket.
