Several RWM aluminum dollies on Amazon priced $72-$87. I paid $121 for one of these a while back and thought that was a good price. There are a lot of models on Amazon so search "RWM fixed hand truck" and then sort by lowest price.

Interesting. My father "borrowed back" the dolly that I thought he forgot that I had. The price decreases appear random: larger models are cheaper, selected products in the line are discounted. This looks like the Amazon pricing algorithm up to its standard tricks.

I don't know about the RWM brand, but I think I will research a bit today.

Thank you

Below is a link to a handy chart for decoding the RWM "Part Number" that Amazon has listed. Pictures are not to be trusted in eCommerce or online dating.

http://www.rwmcasters.com/material_handling/fixed-hand-trucks.cfm

So for example a "F1-DL2-EA1-SW2-S1" would appear to have the following components:
F1 Standard Fixed Frame
DL2 60" Dual Loop Handle
EA1 Extruded Aluminum Nose Plate 9"x18"
SW2 Signature Wheel 10" 800lb weight per wheel (might not be capacity of whole unit)
S1 Standard stair glides.

I didn't pick that model by accident. It's not the cheapest but its so beefy that dad will want to steal MY hand truck if I were to get it.

Very true. I've learned not to hesitate on these deals because the algorithm definitely recognizes any uptick in activity and prices will often go back to msrp very quickly.

Picked up two of them for my shop. Too good of a price to pass up.

I've had one of these since 1976, after a trucker left it behind on the loading dock where I was working nights while in college. Asked the business owner about it after it had been there for over a month and he said to just take it if I wanted it, had too many hand trucks and carts cluttering the dock. I have since bought three more for my businesses . They have been the best hand cart I've ever used. Light, strong, and a practical design. Might be a bunch more expensive than the tube steel type the box stores sell but you will find value in the quality. Been through about a dozen steel framed hand trucks in the shops but the aluminum ones are still in service with virtually no maintenance. I did replace the tires on the original one after dry rot set in. Replaced the air tires with solid rubber tires on magnesium wheels for use on concrete floors.

Thanks for the link. I purchased this one for $82.78. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004071B5M/?tag=atomicindus08-20

The HD one is convertible which is a nice feature, but I think the aluminum one is much better construction. Keep in mind that I think this is one of those oddly low amazon prices that will double or so once enough people buy them. I'd get one, but I already have a nice aluminum convertible one.

Thanks @Bas157, I just placed my order, I was reading some of the reviews as well on the other hand trucks and looking at the RWM product as well. Now to tell the wife lol.

Er, Has anyone actually done business with Righttoools?

They get some interesting press on the web:
http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/merchant-center/yIW3duwpnqQ

"RightToolUSA not only doesn't have our permission to sell our products, but has absolutely no access to ship them either." - from a merchant who noticed their own products showing up on that site.

The way their prices and pictures are mirroring Amazon's makes me think that they are shadowing other merchants products and offering things for sale that they don't actually have. If they are legit and they are transshipping from AMZ I'm not sure how they make money - maybe they make it up in "volume" like the First Citywide Change bank (http://screen.yahoo.com/first-citywide-change-bank-2-000000534.html)

I have not seen my Hand Truck being shipped by Amazon as of yet. I ordered it along with a couple of other items and I have already received tracking items for those two items. Current status of Hand Truck from Amazon's site is "preparing for shipment".

I was supposed to get shipped to the Midwest today (Southwest Airlines) and that didn't work out. Maybe its weather logistics?

I don't know anything about RightToolUSA. Just saw that their prices were comparable to Amazon.

Not sure if it helps anyone but I just got my shipping confirmation for the two carts I ordered. They should be delivered to me on Wednesday.

I've had orders remain in "preparing for shipment" status for several days and then the next day the package will show up. I think sometimes preparing for shipment means they are moving the stuff to a regional shipping center.

Received mine today. Very well built and a bit of a project to assemble. My initial reaction was between the aluminum, fabrication and overnight shipping it must be impossible to make any money selling these at ~$80 price point. The solid wheels have ball bearings and all the hardware was stainless. The extruded platform is really heavy duty. Hell...the whole thing is heavy duty. This should last multiple lifetimes. Thanks to OP for posting this deal!

I want to thank the OP on this deal as well. I agree with @Leemer this is an awesome sold hand truck. Took a little bit to put together, I did not have all the tools I normally have as we are moving and most of the tools have already gone. I did this with the 3 Piece Craftsman Wrenches I got yesterday from K-Mart from another Hot Deal post.
Here are a few photos, hopefully I put it together correctly as the instructions were not the best!

Just got mine today and can't believe how heavy the box was. I'm figuring aluminum it would be very light. I can see from the pics it is indeed heavy duty. I agree that 2 day shipping on this thing must have have been expensive - although I'm sure Amazons rates are no where near the average. Thanks to the OP for the great tip.

Got mine today. It wasn't the model I ordered (grip was different), but had the right tires & capacity. A bit frustrating putting it together because there are no directions and a poor photocopy showing where only some of the bolts go. Some of the hardware was loose in the box and I haven't been able to assemble it completely yet because 3 carriage bolts are missing. Since I can easily replace those, not a big deal. For less than $80 shipped, I'm happy with it.

troybal, what model is that?

I believe troybal got the same one I did that was the one I saw Leemer linked:
"Thanks for the link. I purchased this one for $82.78.

"RWM Casters Aluminum Fixed Hand Truck with Vertical Loop Handle, 10" Nylon Core/Rubber Wheels, Extruded Aluminum Nose Plate, 500 lbs Load Capacity, 53" Height, 18" Width x 7-1/2" Depth"

Pictures look exactly the same as mine and I had the same little hassles setting it up without good directions. But once done it's an awesome piece of equipment! Thanks to OP.

Ordered the same one and received one that is much different from the one pictured on Amazon and what you guys got!
Mine has smaller blue wheels and no looped handle, not super happy.
Amazon sending me a replacement lets keep fingers crossed.
Regards

I ordered the loop handle truck and it came through as ordered but the packaging leaves something to be desired - the carriage bolts and nuts to attach the base were thrown loose into the box and one must have fallen out through the hand slots cut into the box. Not a big deal but a bit of a surprise. And not that its rocket science assembling it but it would have saved a few minutes having some decent instruction since some of the parts have multiple holes to accommodate different wheels etc. Overall though extremely happy with item.

I ordered the $74 model and did not get what was pictured but actually an upgrade. The hand truck has the Center Strap Frame, 14 x 9 Industrial Strength Extruded Front Mount and PLC handle instead of the loop handle. Nuts and bolts just thrown into the box (1 nut missing). It looks like the front mount had been attached to something before judging the marks around the bolt holes but I thnk I got a hell of a deal for $74.00
