Aluminum floor jack options (looking mostly at AFF)

I have a 3 ton Craftsman one that is probably over 10 years old. Initially, it worked very well, but it seems to be flexing frequently, now. I think the biggest problem with the jack is that it has a single wheel the entire width of the front. Too tight, the wheel won't turn. Too lose, the jack's integrity seems compromised.

I'm looking at some other options. I have a lift at home, but do need to use the jack on occasion. The race car is only about 2300 pounds, so I don't need as big a jack as I have for that. I do, however, want for it to be aluminum. I don't want to lug around a 100 pound jack at the track.

Have been planning on an AFF208T for a while. They run $250. Went and looked at the Daytona jack at HF this morning after having seen that thread, not realizing it was steel. Of course, they had their Pittsburgh jacks. Frankly, I am just not a fan of HF. I've had so many things I bought there just not hold up at all that I don't trust them. Still, given the comments here about the Daytona, I thought I'd look at it. But it is just too heavy. A big plus on the AFF208 is that it has four casters, not just two.

So what are the options for aluminum jacks, beyond the AFF and the HF/Northern options? I've seen some comments, good and bad, about Arcan. I'm typically a Made in US kind of guy, but it doesn't appear that there are any aluminum ones that aren't Chinese. Hoping Hiball will chime in here.

If I was a betting man, I'd bet that AFF jack you posted is made right alongside the HF 2T aluminum jacks in the same factory in China. They look nearly identical. Hard to prove if they're made to the same specs or not. I'm not the biggest HF fan, but their jacks are as good as any imported models IMO.

Personally, I'd save the $150 and buy the identical HF model. But it's your money...

I have an aluminum Blue Point (1.5 ton?) that I've had for years. It works fine for Mustangs/<4000lb cars, but isn't the smoothest. I doubt it's any better than your typical aluminum race jack found elsewhere. I also bought a HF Daytona, and so far I'm impressed with performance after trying it on my F250, but no way I'd want to hall it around.

If I wanted the ultimate, and didn't mind dropping ~$1300 on a jack (which I can't justify for myself), I'd give this Mittler Bros jack a try. Other tools I own from them are top notch, and this jack simply looks sweet. That pivoting arm would be really nice, too...

Funny thing is, every picture I see looks like that, but the one I've used that I mentioned earlier has four casters, not just 2. At least I'm pretty sure. And Mt father in law has the HF one. His, as well as the ones at the store, have only one handle on the body, though the pictures show two. And it just doesn't feel.as sturdy; however, every time I've used it it has been at the track with a rough tarmac, rather than a smooth shop floor.
