Pretty sure OP means building a custom Teardrop camper on the aluminum frame in the link.

I've heard of both tiny houses and Teardrops being built on aluminum frames but I think it's pretty uncommon and the frames have always been completely custom.

TOO VAGUE . . . . . . . This a Goosechase ??

Seems more like website hit generator??

Google will find you thousands of examples of campers in teardrop aluminum.

For background . . . this was OP's first post:

Hey guys,
Wondering if anyone ever tried adding a truck bed to a HF light duty trailer? Only asking because I am looking to pull it with my prius. Yes, prius. It has a towing capacity of 2k, so an original frame and axle set up wont cut it. Thanks

No reason to Re-Invent the wheel. Total goosechase in my opinion.

The only aluminum trailers you will find in your size range are ATV/snowmobile trailers.

One thing to remember about aluminum is that it flexes/stretches more than steel, especially as you are going done the road. Any thing that does not stretch/flex at the same rate (like wood) will not stay attached long !

I have a teardrop and I have an aluminium trailer. Having said that I do not see the point of a teardrop on top of an aluminum frame. Tear drops are light enough, no need to save the weight by having an aluminium frame, IMO.

If I wanted an aluminum frame, I would copy the mfg design and have a welder weld it up after I corrected the design for a teardrop. Or buy a used snowmobile trailer, there are hundreds on CL and go from there or contact the mfg to custom order a bodiless frame.

I think getting a worn out popup as a base is way cheaper and smarter. The aluminum will work but you will have to build structure into the teardrop to stiffen the frame or you will end up with lots of leaks.

As far as generating traffic, just don't click if you don't want to be part of that.
