Am I in the right place?

Hey guys and gals. I found this forum after looking for info on vintage bench vises. Turns out I found a gold mine. I’m not sure if I’m posting to the right section or not. I’m 42 and spent the first 13 years of my career as a machinist (and I don’t mean loading a part and pressing the green button on a milling center). I transitioned to industrial maintenance in 2008. So I hope I have something to contribute, this seems like a pretty awesome place.

You won't find a more in depth knowledge of vises than here. We also have a scattering of machinists here. All in all we're a pretty friendly and diverse group of tool and general garage nuts.
So I guess you are in the right place.
