Amana AC Remote Control Part Number

Hi all! This is a long shot...

I'm having a sunroom added to the house and bought an Amana thru-the-wall heater/AC unit for it. The model number is PBH113E35AXAA. Our over-zealous contractor threw out the packaging before he retrieved the remote, and I need to buy a replacement (or rather he does).

Problem is, this model number keeps drawing a blank when I search for it, even on the Amana site. So, I'm wondering, do any of you have this particular AC unit (or a related unit, click here for the product brochure and related models) that you can give me the number off the remote control?

Thanks a bunch.

My wife tried that, they claim not to recognize the number either! :wtf:

I have to pull the front cover off tonight and see if there's a different model number on the unit itself. That was the only thing the guy she talked to wanted -- he couldn't even look it up by our order number.

Thanks, Rick. AJ Madison is where we bought it from; the number comes up blank when I search for parts. I verified that the model number inside the cover is the same number. Not sure why there's a disconnect here...

I had a similar problem - ordered one of those model numbers (took my money and quoted delivery last week) and they have been discontinued - I just got my money back yesterday - I think the unit is the same, but the model numbers are different - see if this works -
Amana AH183E35AXAA (heat pump model) or Amana AE183E35AXAA -
this will link you to an 18000 BTU model that I am ordering -
You may try AH133E35AXAA for yours -
something has changed with their suppliers - this may end up being an expensive "throw away".

Thanks for the suggestion, Cobra6. I expect that the unit will work (electrical is being connected today). I don't expect to have to replace the whole unit, worst case is that I'll just have to walk across the room to turn it on.

DRP no luck on my end my supplier cant get the remote . That means you may end up as you said having to walk across the room to adjust it .I will ask did the guy toss the manual to it as well if he didnt there may be an 800 number in it that you may have some luck with on the remote.

Heres Amana's 800 number just incase they can help you 1-877-254-4729 .

I finally got time to call and get this ordered. They gave me a slightly different part number substitution. I thought your $3.25 price was a typo, but indeed the one they are sending was only $4.65. :rocker: Whoda thunk any company could sell any repair part for that little?

Again, Rick, thanks for the help!

Price differance may have been due to the fact I am a Goodcare authorised dealer ( I sell goodman and Amana products ) so I got the wholesale price and you got retail :D. Still a decent price for a remote .Heck I have paid more for TV remotes LOL.
