And those are just the ones for sale... Beautiful works of art, but not really working garages. Looks like you could find a wrench in only a couple of those. None had lifts for actually working on a vehicle. But I guess if they could afford that much for a garage and a house, they would have that work done for them.

Thanks for posting.

yup, they look like garages to me. to me a garage is a place to park or store vehicles. those would be classified as garages. a WORK SHOP/SHOP/BARN/POLE BARN/POLE BUILDING would be where the work/repairs/fabrication takes place. everybody defines these different though. also everybody uses there available spaces differently, my brothers basement is his shop, thats all he has to work with.

btw there are threads here with those in them from the past.

I think some folks are confused as to what the defintions are for "garage" and "shop".

These garages are way, way over the top, but yes they are still garages. If youre looking for a place with welding, fabrication, and things along that nature, yes you can perform and have those things in your garage, but they are more appropriate for a "shop".

But regardless, whats the difference, and whats the point? Why not let folks enjoy what they have without wrapping it into some little group?

These garages are beautiful. Something I would never have a need for or even be able to obtain but hey, they all seem like car people on one level or another. I guess because you dont own a lift youre not a "car guy"?????

Kicks can, walks away...........

didn't mean to piss anyone off, but I do agree they are beautiful. I just guess I have a different opinion as to what classifies as a garage. To me, a "garage" isn't a place that has a main purpose of being a "show" area for decorations and high end cars. I understand a nice clean garage and nice cars, but over the top $400k "garages" stop being garages and move into wax museum territory to me
