Very cool on the plasma cutter. I have been wanting one for a long time. I might pull the trigger on this one.

I will say the one review where it "blew" seems to be user error when they were switching voltages.

I tried; It Gigged me on my cell phone number.
Tried a "text now" app number but when I put the number in, it said it was already being used with another account. Got tired of trying.
I believe I set mine up with a free Google Voice number because I don't have 2 phones.

I have that exact Knipex needle nose. Not very good IME. The tip of the pliers bent outwards gripping plastic. I used a hammer on the flat of my vise to straighten them out. The picture is after hammering them back into shape. Don't really use them anymore. Used them no more than three times. I wish I had taken a pic of the pliers pushed outwards (It was 1/4" gap between).IMG_0832.jpgIMG_0833.jpg

I bought a Knipex pliers wrench due to all the hype, I just don't see what the fuss is all about.

Sometime in the past month or so Amazon Japan started offering free shipping to the US again.
So I just picked up a couple more MakPacs.
They're Tanos boxes, like gen1 Festool Systainers, and semi-compatible - they have different feet so they'll lock underneath, but not on top of Systainers (gen1 or gen2).
But they're less than 1/2 the price of Systainers, and Japan prices are 1/3 - 1/2 off domestic prices.

[A hat tip to webscrounger, whose post on the Vessel screwdriver made me look at Amazon Japan again]

Weird - that Makita A-60501 is listed at $24.15 + $49.72 shipping on Amazon.co.jp (and Amazon.co.jp is listed as the seller) but is only $22.12 shipped free when ordering on Amazon.com with "Amazon Japan" listed as the seller. I've always searched on the UK, Germany, and Japan sites directly, but now it looks like it is better to search on Amazon.com using the "Amazon Global Store" filter.

^ Amazon puts COO as China, but I got some today that Amazon said were China, that were clearly marked Germany. Amazon frequently gets COO wrong.

I was just looking at the COO in the descriptions. Made me wary even though I've got a ****-load of them and they are all embossed made in Germany.
