If you are willing to wait 4-6 weeks, this Koken Z-line ratchet at Amazon-US is a very good deal at $58.20, with free shipping from Japan. (Sells for $124 at Koken-USA.) Koken-USA does not provide warranty services for tools sold by Amazon-Japan.

Whoever got it thank you! I was trying to convince myself I didn't need one but now it's gone ;)

Recent history shows those go out of stock for ~2 days before being restocked. By Wednesday there will probably be more available to tempt you.

Looks like all the negative reviews were from 2020 during covid. We will see but I'm going with they are going to ship a full case of 50 pair or 100 filters and not one pair based on the following:

  • Package Dimensions: 18" L x 21" W x 18" H
It's a most excellent price for real 3M product if you use them!

I finally got around to opening the box to these and has happened too many times in stuff I have ordered I received two sets of filters versus the 100 per case. Chatted with Amazon and they credited 80% of the cost and I got to keep them so it still ended up being a good deal. I use these a lot as they fit under my welding helmet and Uvex face shield. 3M is notorious for this with their flap disks as well....

Lucky you. I received the single set versus the 100.

Amazon wants me to drive out and return it before they issue me a refund. Sorry, but that's not happening: You screwed up, it's not incumbent upon me to spend my time and gas money to return a thing that you're responsible for.

This is going to be a bit of a fight. Shame, too, since I (via my business) spend thousands per month on Amazon.

Seems like there are bigger hills out there to die on. You jumped on what you thought was a price mistake in your favor, but turned out to be an inventory mistake in theirs. Send them back (or don't) and keep your eye out for the next deal.

/2 cents

Note: my annual spend with AMZN is $20-30k

I have found that if I say can you credit my gift card they will usually give me a better deal.... of course.... I just spent the gift card balance I got on the Felo pliers... so much for saving....

I also got a pair instead of a case. I poked around and found the well-hidden link for contact me on customer service. A friendly voice came on the line and said the only thing they could do was refund me and I was free to keep the incorrect filters and reorder at my leisure. I asked how I could be sure to get the correct case of 100 if I reordered and she said I could order with confidence because there is a team at the warehouse who checks inventory every time this happens.🤣 I looked and saw It is now flagged as a frequently returned item by their bots with the reason being that the customers claimed to only receive 1 set. Not gonna waste my time rolling the dice again...

A LOT of retailers have started charging "restock" fees recently, to combat people who have abused the system. Like shoplifting, the actions of a (relatively) few people screw us all.

I picked them up at Lowes, but 12x12 and very thin. Will use them as a disposable cloth.
May go with the 14x14 on Amazon for the same price.
I was holding off on ordering because of the reviews saying they are thin. The 20 cent per cloth makes them not much more than some of the higher end disposable toweling. I’m used to the 16”x16” yellow microfiber cloths from Costco. Those are on sale this month, $119 for a case of 324 which seems like a reasonable price (37 cents each) for the quality. As an added benefit they also offer blue for the case purchases instead of just yellow. The yellow are very easy to see dirt and impurities on, the blue might hide more stuff.

Amazons Prime membership return policy has gone into the toilet over the last year or two.
They used to be great. Free pickups all the time.

Now I find myself constantly looking for somewhere else to buy from.
I keep seeing this on various social websites and I still cannot figure it out, I have yet to have a problem returning a single thing to Amazon and have never paid for a single return

$38.81 now
the seller seems to have replenished previously so they might show back up. You can use something like keepa.com to set a price alert. It looks like that seller, usatooldepot.com, has their own domain/shop where they have them at the low price. "limited stock" though. It could get cancelled if they sold everything on amazon.

------------

They have also some VDE Combination pliers also relatively cheap.

$25 for the oscar mayer colorway.
