It’s impossible to say no to a $4 utility knife. At least I avoided the three pack. All my relatives have already suffered through as many as I dare, utility knife holiday gifts. I don’t think I’m suppose to have a whole drawer devoted to utility knives.

They have a few Aprilaire dehumidifiers on sale (and these really are sale prices). They do this every BF. If you don’t want/need them, as a “hack”, you may be able to return the accessories for a credit back (when I did mine, it came with the remote panel and I had one already. It was billed and discounted separate from the dehumidifier so I just did a return on it and it lowered the price even more. This is one model, there are a couple others as well. Made in US, real factory support, five year warranty. The only bad thing is initial cost.

Me too. Now that Supply House collects sales tax, when I needed to buy more for other places, I was smarter and waited for the BF sale. This BF pricing is as inexpensive as I’ve seen them. If someone else knows otherwise, please add in.

Metabo HPT Grinder $29: corded 4-1/2", 10,000rpm, 6.2 amp, stick handle, case and 5 type 27 grinding disks, Model G12SR4 [LINK]
The 10 amp is running about $75.
Must not buy. Do not need a $30 grinder. Do not need another grinder.

I mean, man. Even though it's really only $10 off or thereabouts, just think about that. That means that that grinder would have cost about $3.75 in 1970.

I'm still trying to grok whole-house dehumidifiers. I didn't know there was such a thing.

Don't know if it's a targeted coupon, only that it would appear sometimes when I was checking back and forth on it when comparing it to other vises. Maybe being a Prime member helps, don't know.
I will tell you that it's a solid little vise (~8 lbs.) and it came finished in a nice blue color instead of the gray shown in the ad. Also came with an instruction leaflet and 2 Allen wrenches (one for the jaw screws and one for the grub screw that retains the threaded rod into the moveable jaw). After seeing what is out there being offered and what you get (or don't get) for your money, I'd pay the $ 36.44 and still be satisfied. The lowest price I've seen elsewhere was ~$63 and even up to~ $90 (obviously overpriced) at industrial suppliers. So, if you're interested, you might grab one and return it if not satisfied. A few minutes ago Amazon showed 5 in stock and you don't know if the price will increase when they get a new batch to sell.
P.S. I added a short M6 bolt and nut to lock down the grub screw which has a habit of backing out after running the jaw back and forth a bunch. Don't have any Loctite on hand.

just got mine....the first one they sent got damaged in shipping, the replacement was poorly packed and had an outside jaw corner nicked. No big deal, it's a sweet little vise. The jaws don't appear to be machined flush on the outside on mine but it's no big deal I reckon. I was expecting grooves on both jaws but dunno if that'd be any better or not for round holding. I figure only machining one jaw ensure proper alignment.

It's a shame you had shipping and packaging related problems. Guess I was lucky as neither box had damage. They did package the vise box inside another box for shipping didn't they? The jaws on mine were very close together on top, almost like they were ground flat together. On the sides , one jaw was sticking out a tiny bit further than the other and I loosened the screws and put them equal. **** This got me thinking just now so I just measured them. They measure the same within ~ .001-.002 " both horizontally and vertically without removing from the vise. I think they are machined to the same dimensions and it's a matter of alignment rather than differing dimensions. I did remove some very small burrs from the edges with a fine file and followed up with a stone.
The instructions state to clean off the preservative coating which was my normal procedure anyways. Also removed the screw and cleaned and greased along with the little pocket hole in the jaw at the end of the screw. Ways got a light coat of oil.
Glad you like it. I think it was a good deal from Amazon. And speaking of Amazon ( I love the little games they play and lack of consistency), I recently noticed that they have it advertised at a higher price from some other vendor on the big ad but still listed at the lower price (sold by Amazon) on the drop down list of "other vendors".

it was boxed inside a box but no padding. I went ahead and loosened the jaws and was able to align them.

FWIW: some tips I've learned when it comes to clamping down on a drill press:

bike cam bolts:

Armortool universal fit clamp

No nut, racking fixture clamp (armortool above also makes racking fixture clamps for welding tables so you can combine both ideas into 1):

very fancy diy:

less fancy & easier to replicate (copying rod fab above):
