Speaking of Woot

Dewalt 12V Max 5.0, open box, $47.49, so under the $10/ah holy grail.

I've been woefully ignorant of this $10/AH as an unbelievable deal, that's my standard pricing for new batteries when I resell them. Granted, that's 10 dollars NET since I refuse to deal with any BS fees from "financial services".

I am wondering whether any of these clamps are going to ship. I find it suspicious that they keep getting “restocked”, and that the delivery time is slow.
They put in an order for X amount at some Chinese foundry and are given a delivery date. That amount sells out, they have to request, agree and confirm a new larger order, and then they are relisted. Wash, rinse, repeat. This same thing happens at HomeDepot and their daily specials CONSTANTLY. Acme tools has done tons of orders like this as well with Milwaukee promotions. These are just my personal first hand experiences. For the best price you buy the largest quantity possible, ala Costco.

It's Amazon, between them and your CC company, as the buyer you really have nothing to worry about other than the waiting time which you should just try and forget about. One day you will come home to an Amazon box with your clamps and be pleasantly surprised. Can't handle the anxiety of waiting? Don't order, they are very clear shipping is going to be a month out.

Pretty good summary. Back last year, I had their 400 series 6” clamps ship right from Bessey’s US factory warehouse, bypassing Amazon handling the order at all. It was nice to see stuff packed well and arrive in a nice box, undamaged. With the Wilton clamps I ordered, they weren’t nearly as protected as the Besseys. If you purchase the set of different size Wiltons that are painted like these, I can assure you they will arrive with the finish all chipped up. In the long run, it doesn’t really matter as they will get battle scars, but to purchase new and get stuff that looks beat up…. :(

And they're back, after a brief intermission.
For anyone that ordered these recently were they Chinesium or German? It says country of origin is China but sometimes people get lucky.

Still waiting on these, but I haven't seen a new Bessey German C-clamp in years.
The medium duty + heavy duty C-clamps (including the black version of these) are made in USA.
The light duty (CM series?) are Chinese with a really crappy crimp-on swivel pad.

The F (bar) clamps are still German (not the light duty clutch clamps)

Some of their Chinese stuff is pretty good.
The Revo (top of the line woodworking clamp) uses Chinese parts.

I just picked up some (now Chinese) spindle clamps and they're pretty interchangeable with my older German ones, even to the swivel pads. (Although they did arrive assembled backwards and I had to pop off the swivels, disassemble, and reassemble them. Go figure.)

And it lifts over 4 feet. Th HF thing is less than two and a half feet. If I only had the room.

It's $304
The 500 lb HFT is under $200 with a 25% off coupon. It is not technically a "tool cart", so just about any coupon applies to it

I just put some scrap wood blocks down before I put whatever I need to lift onto the cart. Honestly if the capacity is only 200 lbs, I can just lift it with my arms. The cart itself weighs over 100 lbs

How useful are those things in reality?

First, you have to lift/wrangle the object onto the unit, then back off (assuming you're using it to lift something to put onto a shelf, for instance).

What do people really do with them?

Use mine all the time

Lift to truck tailgate, slide off, roll to workbench, slide on

If you need to lift you only have to get it a few inches up, not a few feet up

I'll use it as a height adjustbile workbench, put the lawnmower on it for service as an example

Works well for stuff that isn't that heavy but is awkward to grab

It works great loading heavy items into an SUV or truck. When I bought my 1000 lb cart from HF I used their cart to lift it and load it into my Jeep. People passing by saw me and commented that would be great to help a large elderly dog into their vehicle so they went in and bought one.

The cart goes down pretty low so getting a heavy object on it isn't that difficult. I wish I bought 2 back then(2015) because the price is about double now.

As others have mentioned, works great to get things in and out of vehicle tailgates. I have also used it when assembling things like my lift, building workbenches (you put the benchtop on the lift, lift it up to height, and the bolt the legs on).

What he said.
I've had a 660# 60" lift one from Global for 10+ yrs (Retail $700ish, craigslist find).
I wasn't sure at first, but it has proved its worth many times over.
Additional outfeed or side support for the tablesaw.
Load & unload from the truck, or even the roof of the old wagon.
Rolling scaffold (non-OSHA)
Jack
But mostly a general purpose workbench - it's amazing how helpful it can be to adjust work height a few inches.

Way cheaper than the tractor with FEL and pallet forks I just bought, but man does it make loading and unloading things to/from my truck easy!
