How do we feel about the tekton regular combination wrenches? They were on sale for $130 for a set of metric and SAE. The same would be a little over $200 for Icons even with the 20% off coupons they run.

I think Tekton’s warranty is better than HF. it’s more likely HF will retire the Icon brand and warranty out the Icon tools against Pittsburgh in the future. And HF requires you bring the whole set in to change out. And if you lose one, good luck, but you can buy tekton singles.

I have a month to decide. Amazon ran out and estimated my deliver for mid August so I have time to cancel.

I have a nice Proto combination wrench set for my home box. I want a second set, just 8mm to 19mm and 5/16 to 3/4” SAE for my mobile tool kit. And also the ability to cut, weld, melt, or modify the cheaper wrench to make a custom tool should the need arise on short notice. I’d hate to do that with a proto!

I have a variety of oddball sizes - ordered at various points to replace broken ones/fill in gaps
I wouldnt say they are the same as a good Proto set but I have no complaints in general.

I got both sae and metric in the rolls to keep my work truck. I wanted something inexpensive that would not walk away on its own. They seemed ok until i found something really tight. I discovered something that is talked about on this forum but had never experienced, open end wrench spreading. A brass sensor stuck in aluminum was too much for the wrench. I switched to an old raised panel craftsman and got the sensor out.

After that experience and a broken ratcheting wrench, I will be trying other brands in the future.

8 piece carbide burr set for die grinder, 1/4” shank $23,99

I‘ve been watching this set for over a year and have never seen it lower than $29.99 so just bought it, There’s also a 10 piece version for the same price but it has smaller cutting heads.

All those cheap burrs come from China.

On the picture of the shelf, on the upper right, there is a circle with a square with an arrow sticking out the top inside it. . Tap that and it will bring up the menu. The menu will have a few selections like sending in a text message or other options. Select copy and then paste it into your post here. Hope this helps.

Same machine, two different deals. I'm not sure why but guessing they forgot to update one (one's pictured w/o accessories but has them in the link body so dunno). I'd have picked this one up a few months ago but went a different direction. Pedal is an extra 100$, 220v only:

3 & 4 hook available, nothing out of the ordinary just best price i've found:

Wow, very nice!

Looks like the 48s are gone, the 24s are full price, but the 36 is still around $25.

Actually, this rechargeable one is a better deal. Its onlly $2 more and is rechargeable, and is rated 1-A: 10-B:C (the one above is ony 10-B:C) for some reason.

Keepa says the average amazon price for the past 180 days is 24.23 and I've been shopping for a new one for a while and notice they are about $24-$25 in retail stores.

received. Better quality than other Kidde/First Alert extinguishers I've bought before. Nozzle, handle, and pull-pin are metal instead of plastic. Everything is metal except for the gauge and wall bracket. Looks like what makes it 1-A : 10- BC is that its filled with MAP instead of sodium bicarbonate. So this one is better for the garage than the kitchen (what I'd hoped for).

Not a killer deal, but I think not bad either...DEWALT IMPACT SOCKET SET, Combination, sae/mm, 3/8 inch drive,42 piece (DWMT19248) (B01NGTSNTS) $79.99 (36% off). Lists for $124.74, average on amazon $120.48, lowest price tracked $79.99. I was holding out for a deal on some sunex sockets (that are well thought of on the forum), thought I would give this a try, anyone have experience Dewalt impact sockets? Anyone that cares to, appreciate you providing the link, thanks.
