mine got canceled. anyone else get in on it and fare the same?
the pliers are still being processed.
My ratchet order was cancelled as well. I received the first pair of pliers and am waiting on the second order. I think the pliers will still happen. They also have a 3 pack of various angle pliers for $20 on the same page as the pliers we ordered.

Lowes shows $74.98
I'm afraid of change so I round up.

This f'in thing almost burned down my house. It started to spontaneously combust in the amazon shipping carton. I have always heard of this being possible with silicon or latex that was tightly packed together, and now I've seen it. Luckily all is OK except for some smoke in the upstairs.

Moral of the story: unpack this thing asap.

Gives "hot pink" silicone trays a new meaning. Seriously, though......I'm happy you discovered it when you did. I noticed they were folded over pretty tight in the package.

After action. I had left the "hot" pink silicon tray in the Duratech box sitting upright on my desk. I smelled something like wood burning at around 1pm but I also had a tree down that was being cut up and wood chipped outside so I thought that was the odor.

Came back up about half hour later and the box was charred from the top down with hot embers. Ran and threw it out the front door, spilling embers on the way. Had to put those out then dunked the box in a puddle to extinguish.

The mat where it was folded was far too hot to touch. There was some type of plastic wrap as well which had melted and may have contributed to the cause. I was very lucky to have caught it as there are bookshelves directly about it with lots of stuff that would have burned if an open flame broke out.

The tray itself looks undamaged except for a scorch mark right where it was folded.

Well that is terrifying. Hot deals, indeed. Any idea as to Amazon will warranty that? That is a bizarre claim. I'm very glad there was no "real" damage, as it were.

Mine sat in my kitchen still packed for a few days after I got it...not to mention who knows how long it sat in Amazons warehouse...

I've had my HF U.S. General silicon tray in the box it came in for a couple of months. I've never heard of such a thing but I removed it from the box soon as I read the above posts. Thanks for the heads up M0S3522!

Not too sure if silicone does any spontaneous combustion, while I don’t have the trays but have been using those silicone mats from ikea to place for hot pots for years and it have not burn or combusted until it got stuck to a pot and I place it over open flame by accident and still that took about 5 minutes to catch fire…. So…..

1. I’m glad you’re okay.

2. I never heard about that. How and why TF would silicone spontaneously combust in a shipping box?

(Don’t want to detract from the thread so you can PM or start another thread)

1, thanks, 2. no idea. I know latex can do so but have not googled anything about silicone doing so. My best guess is the trays are some compound consisting of silicone and latex and that the plastic wrap around the piece contributed.

That's gonna need to be an amazingly good jigsaw, even with 'coupon' price.
You should check the prices on Fein and Festool jigsaws. Will make the Bosch JS572EK look like a bargain.
Bosch also sells cheap jigsaws:

Actually, that is the Bosch cheap jigsaw. There is a middle one named the JS470, which comes in either D-handle or barrel grip. I have one and I'd highly recommend it.

Well, lookee there, I see Amazon has a refurb of the JS470 for the same price as the cheap one. Only 16 left, so jump on that deal:

www.amazon.com/Bosch-JS470ERT-Top-Handle-Certified-Refurbished/dp/B004S5DTZ6

The difference between the two is the more expensive saw has a much better guide that makes the blade run true with less side to side wobble so it follows a cut line better and you get cleaner cuts. As I recall, it also has more adjustability for stroke and reciprocation.

I bought mine years ago. I would take a look at the cordless versions today.
