how much do you make from it if you don't mind me asking.? I'm out here reviewing chicom stuff for free like it's my job already, might as well make it count

Keep consistently writing reviews and you’ll eventually get an invite.

I don’t “make” anything from the program since I don’t resell anything from it. I get discounted mostly Chinese **** sent to me and have to pay 40 cents on the dollar when I file my taxes next year. For 2023 they reported $1991 that I paid about $800 in taxes on. I’m over that for this year because I unlocked the gold tier by doing at least 100 items in 6 months. Part of being selective is checking regular Amazon for similar items, often the stated value of the Vine offering is significantly inflated so it costs the same to just buy it. Coupons and discounts don’t apply to the Vine taxable value, you get hit with full price. I saw a diagnostic computer the other day valued at $600, but there was a coupon on the product page for 50% off, not a worthy vine purchase. I’ve gotten some $50+ items that were **** and go in the trash, so in reality it’s probably like paying 50-55 cents on the dollar overall. I’ve read about people returning truly ****** stuff and getting Amazon to remove it from their annual amount, I haven’t tried that yet.

Sounds like a lot of hassle for a bunch of cheap Chinese tools....🤔

I am part of something similar. They pay for the item, I get to keep it (minus a bit, like $1 per item for fees). But they PayPal me the money, and I use my Amazon Visa to buy, so 5-6% back usually covers the difference. Fairly large list of items, very few tools though (did get some spacers/pull block for flooring, and a biscuit jointer a while back).
Ah, so the tax isn't really on getting paid to review but on the 'gift' value?

Not exactly sure what you mean, and don't want to offer tax advice, as it isn't something I know a ton about. The money (to almost entirely cover the cost of the item) comes to me via Pay Goods/Services. I do not receive any extra monetary compensation, but do use the money sent to buy the item, which I do not need to return. Hope that clarified.

Edit: If you meant the "tax" being that I receive less than the total price to cover the purchase, I was referring to Sales tax/delivery fees.

It is depending on what you are looking for, I don’t focus on tools specifically. I’ve gotten some name brand tools, several hardware assortments that are decent quality, all the accessories I wanted for our new Tesla Y.

Rescued a few files today but have no storage for them. This should have enough spaces so I can leave an empty one in between so they're not rubbing:

Material's a bit thin but knew that going in. It's got this synthetic coating on the canvas that I suppose provides some strength and importantly humidity protection.

The pockets on the small side weren't exactly divided correctly. I just moved the files around so that once wrapped it will protect the steel. I don't know how well this would work once I install handles on them. I suspect the handles would keep the metal from rubbing but would end up w/a bulkier roll:

Not a super bargain but fairly price imo.

If you're open to the solution, you could move one of these between files on the roll as needed without adding too much bulk:

Nicholson 21474U Universal Handle https://a.co/d/0cUqGl3H
($10, but unfortunately not on sale)

Or better yet, one of those cool old cast iron ones if you can find it.

that looks handy. Was watching a vid the other day, good way to go about it is use screwdriver handles epoxied on. Good use of 6$ hf screwdriver sets. Just came across a 3d printed design now too and this kobalt which seems to be the same as the one you suggest:

I'll order these which seem alright:

Same price at zoro.

Edit: I eventually found the less expensive price on Zoro, without free shipping, but Zoro seems to be selling the same hammer for different prices. Looks like there may have been a SKU change or something. I like these proto hammers.

Where did you find it on Zoro? I’m missing the secret.

edit 2: Cancelled order below due to faked dead blow heads.

cancelled>> edit: I do not think the ball peen hammers are dead blow reading more reviews

Reviewers for the left set confirm the ball peen is dead blow (much like the right set). Looks like a decent deal compared to hf icon dead blows.

My friend has a set of the Mac ones. They are sweet! I think I searched under proto antivibe. Zoro is tricky, part numbers don't come up alot. I do very generic searches like ko-ken 3/8 or something like that. Look at the words they use in the listing then start adding those words. I got most of my ko-ken stuff from them 20% off but it's hard to search.

In for four. The reviews on Klein's website aren't very good for these, but at this price it's worth a shot.

They're not amazing at $12 to $16 a pair but they're perfectly acceptable at $5 a pair. They don't quite line up like they should. I had a few pairs of Plato that lined up nicely but they were a bit soft.
For my intended use , mainly on circuit boards etc , they're more than good enough for cutting resistor, LED and capacitor leads once soldered in and they're good enough to cut speaker wire in a crossover etc
I see some people have complained that they dull after cutting zip ties and all sorts. I wouldn't really use these for zip ties unless it's the small ones one would use to build a PC or something.

I do want to try a pair of those Hakkos though.

the hakkos are great for zip ties. i've cut thousands and they're like new. tiny PC power supply-sized ones, large wrapped around leg-sized bundles of CAT6, cheapo brittle HF ones, spendy premium nylon panduit or ideal ones.. nom nom nom....

seriously, for $5 a pair, they owe you nothing after a few years. but they're timex.

I'm not sure if these were posted, I've received all of mine and am very impressed with the quality. I actually used one today to pry a fender back out so that the door would open (guy caved it in on a tow dolly tire) and it did perfectly. They feel cast, and are very rigid and slim.

The picture on Amazon is terrible, if you don't know what it is, just Google search 4140 pry bar.

TYRWEEY 4140 Pry Tool, Pry Bar Trim Removal Tool, Pry Tool, Pocket Pry Bar, Car Trim Removal Tool Kit, Trim Removal Tool Kit, Panel Removal Tool Interior Trim Removal Kit For Planes, Automotive Tools1 https://a.co/d/0gjIBxZ3

Currently $1.01, can only order one at a time... But multiple orders do go through. There's a listing for $.99, but the seller looks fishy to me...

Ordered one, says next day delivery, so should arrive today. In the review, someone has a picture of what it looks like it should be ... Will update when it arrives.

I managed to get two ordered before the seller pulled the plug. I am skeptical that I will get them, but if so, fantastic deal!

I use these all the time, so thank you @Foxmxrcer
You hit the "buy now" button too fast, happened to me too. Gotta wait about 15 seconds between button smacks. They still show as available.

Also, as I said above I'm my first post....I received all of mine. I did NOT order from the shady looking 99 cent guy though, mine were all $1.01, sold by tyrweez or whatever, shipped by Amazon.
