Amazon description says 4140 steel. Are you saying that they are made from aluminum?
I'm not sure what he got in the mail, but I can 100% confirm that all of the ones I got, and my buddy, are magnetic and NOT aluminum.

Sorry - I may be wrong ... it is metal of some sort and is stamped 4140. Seemed light to me for steel and looks like brushed Al but I am no metallurgist!

Just got mine. Couple of pics of what it actually is.
Just received the 2 I ordered and I must say these are much lower quality than I expected. I have an older one (I think made in the USA) that is clearly heavier, better cast, and overall nicer. These are worth the $1 or so shipped, but I wouldn't pay more than $5.

I don’t know what you are talking about, just got mine today, and it’s really well build. One piece casting and the end are grounded smooth. And well balanced on the hand. I expected it to be some cheesy after reading the post. But it wasn’t.

The one I got isn't as nice as the one I got a few years ago. The edges on the bottom aren't to far away from being able to cut skin. It's nothing that a few minutes of work won't fix. So it's a good deal at $1. But I agree about not being willing to pay more than a few dollars for one.

cut skin? I used it to scratch my back itches and still haven't cut skin... you sure we getting the same item from the same seller ? I can't say what you got from several years ago... I got two this time and it didn't cut skin on the prying blade area or the handle area. It's a lot better than the $10 sets I got from HF sales few weeks ago as pry bar. lol not as scratching bar.

I suspect some are turned off by the pebble grain finish, expecting full polish instead.

I’m fine with what I received, but tool polishers rule here (just kidding).

I bought three of them. The one I bought a few years ago is nicer but it's not 17 times nicer like the price differential.

They'll make good incidental gifts to friends. Should have bought ten.

My three showed up. The quality is fine... it's a pry tool, not fine silverware. The pry faces on my three are almost mirror polished, and if there is a burr or two on the grip end, it woild clean up in less time than it took to type this. I plan to use mine, so a bit of prep is fine.

Smoking deal for a buck each.

They are Wobble-Fix. From Koken:
Wobble-Fix refers to the section of the extension bar that holds the socket. Specifically, in reference to the flexibility of movement that a socket has when attached to an extension bar with this feature. Wobble-Fix extension bars offer two different secure solutions for holding a socket in place.

The “Fix” solution holds the socket securely and steadily on the extension bar permitting no movement. The “Wobble” solution permits movement of up to a 15 degree angle

Will there be anything useful for Prime Day? How has it been for tools in the past events?
Last year, I think around Cyber Monday, Tekton had some sales. There was a combination wrench set for a reasonably good discount that I was very tempted by, to have as a car kit trunk wrench set.

Can't find that price. Shows $81.10 with no option of "other sellers on Amazon" for the $59 price.
Then you're doing something wrong, price is still there I just checked. Right hand side, with a gray box around it that says "other sellers on Amazon" click it. That is the best way for me to describe where it's at on the page...
