Price shows is a little higher now, but there's a newer model with a magnetizer which is why they're letting this one go probably

You can find chicom for 10$ cheaper but it's going on my battery miter saw or baby hf chop saw so wanted to give it the best chance:

Must be an in-store promotion for your store, tried both local-only website inventory and no luck.

If you haven't used these, I understand they don't like anything harder than mild steel (though this claims ss). IOW, mystery scrap is one of the quickest ways to ruin them. I've got some videos for best practices on miter saw use if that's your intent.

re: Vessel ball grip.

It would be cool if they made a version with locking hex, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 square drive on an end of a blade.

It’s special buy… so maybe varies by store. But it’s not online. Going to get another before leaving this town later maybe.

what do you mean by 'special buy'? I also called one of the stores but didn't get the sense the person on the other hand knew much about saw blades.

I'll try to keep it in mind and drop by when/if I'm near a HD next time.

It's likely a Buy One Get One blade pack. Diablo has unique skus for these promo items, where as Milwaukee just puts 2 of the same blade in the existing UPC'd item, and often don't show on the website. So a store sku or UPC would help locating the item in store.

I typed all the numbers dogdog provided in his pics but not hits. I don't think any of them are the sku which are shorter.

FWIW, I got the one from Amazon and ran it @ 3425 (radial) & 5100 (cordless miter) rpm (max on blade is 5800) on a 3x1.5 3/16" c-channel. I think it liked the lower rpm better (less sparks, less heat). It's crazy how it cuts through it as if it were wood.

I think my hf mini chop saw (5000rpm) arbor adapter either got deformed or it's metric (16mm maybe) so wasn't able to try it (blade sits cocked and wobbles). Will pick up a spare adapter nut at some point.

Warning, miter saws lack a proper clamping mechanism to cut steel so I've attached a vid of a "pro" which may be easy to replicate. I'm also not sure how I feel about using the sliding mechanism so might opt instead to lock the slide and use it as a fixed miter (or pick up an old all-metal miter saw)

pro w/decent clamp (note how it slides but it's recommended to fix for cutting)

Looks like evolution makes a cheap saw w/wood miter style clamp:

FWIW: I swung by evolution's site and they have a ton of sliding compound miters w/'mulitmaterial' blades which will do steel that look quite frankly indistinguishable from your common wood miter saws save maybe the RPM (4200 rpm in the 7 1/4) and front clamp option. They're very competitively priced <200$-250$ so there's some options besides the one I posted above.

Not to drag any more hd deals into an Amazon thread, dunno why they are not searchable in the hd websites for these special Buy items. Here is the pic, it’s in the front isles if your homedepot have them. As far as cutting with carbide, I have the evolution rage 2 earliest edition, the trick is to spin the blade to full speed before doing the cut and slow in engaging the metal on the first contact.

Thank you. The sku below. I called and the robot will confirm availability and price. If you talk to a human, they'll use the internet and not find it. You can ask robot for "tell me price" which will prompt sku and also tell you availability. Both my closest stores have it.

I looked at this and, indeed, it was $22.69 with 7 available. Then, I went and made a sandwich. Now, the price is $46.90 with 6 available. I wonder if the single purchase kicked off a routine that updated the price?

I got in on the Scotch 35 deal (thanks!) but looking at it again the multi-pack rolls are 1/2" x 240", or 20'.

Looking at traditional rolls at HD they are 3/4" x 66': link

Wondering if this is such a great deal or not. I believe previous orders actually received 5x packages (which WOULD be a great deal!)

Am I missing something?

last time these were posted at 15.** people thought they were a steal because they all got 10 five packs for 50 rolls total. compared to amazon basics that cost 9.** for a 10 pack (of same sized rolls) this is basically upgrading to brand name for no extra cost. maybe not the hottest deal ever but still good enough.
edit: my math wasn't mathing. for $23 you could get 50 rolls of 3m tape. to buy 50 rolls of amazon basics you'd pay $46. so this is half the price as generic.

and to the person above who missed out due to a sandwich. that ***** dude. it said only 10 left when i ordered and i posted here right after.
