This is a good saw. If anyone is interested go look at the reviews of this saw on YouTube. Well thought of. Even the comparisons with the brushless model, this saw doesn't come up short.

I just checked. This saw has never been a lower price. This is rock bottom. If someone is a bottom feeder, it is time to eat.
Great price on a good saw!……. Keep in mind that this is for a BARE TOOL…….. NO BATTERIES.

Do you guys trust the Amazon Dewalt stuff not to be counterfeit?
Yes.

In the 15 years I have used Amazon with 6 pages of purchases all the way back to 2011 with my first Dewalt purchase of my 4pc 18v kit with 25+ tools including woodworking, yard, mechanic, etc and countless accessories (blades, hole saws, bits, etc.) I have never been burned.

YMMV

one advantage the astro has is being detachable to use an extension. For the pass-thru sockets like the bahco/pittsburg/one I linked above, your shallow sockets can become deep socket w/the use of a hollow extenson. it doesn't look like that's possible w/the astro since it uses a conventional square drive. Your renches are also pass-thru and you hardly see them w/the offset like that.

Looks like a good deal, but why do I need one?

Can't think of a situation where this would be better than a long box end ratchet wrench.
I have the 3/8 nano sockets. I never thought about using them with a 17 mm wrench. Anyway I ordered the 3/8 holder. I'll probably use them more if I have the flex head ratchet that goes with them.

Need is a critical word in the process of rationalization.
And what does being rational have to do with wanting new tools? You guys are just being silly now.lol
What's wrong with just wanting it? Like that damn Knipex - Twistor16 Self-Adjusting Pliers. I don't need it, I have other tools that can do the job but I wanted it. I just wish they'd ship it already, I bought it on the 3rd and guesstimated delivery was this past Friday but it’s still preparing for shipping.

These are 50% off again; $6.44 per pair: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BLQ5KN7?tag=atomicindus08-20

$69.99 minus a $15 coupon for this mini welder - seems like a version with a few more features than the one that was $45 a month ago. I know nothing about welding, so interested in any thoughts: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DPW6FCYG?tag=atomicindus08-20

And, the 3/8 Capri wobble/fix extensions are on sale for $21.80 for me. Have been enjoying my Kokens; nice to have another set: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XCXBWFN?tag=atomicindus08-20

I ordered the 22mm for half inch nanos. I figured if I want the 17mm it would be in a shorter 10.5” version, but it’s $35 not on sale.

It's for those times when you have no space for a regular length socket but the bolt/nut is recessed, so a flush ratchet wrench won't do & you need the extra offset. Keeps you from using a contraption such as this:

Had a set of those extra long ratcheting wrenches and sold them....really annoying bc the reverse switch is constantly getting switched when working in closer quarters. Bought a set of Tone wrenches instead and they work great
