Amazon HVLP paint gun kit?

Has anyone here bought this kit? It looks like the Harbor Freight guns but comes with some additional accessories and case which is nice. Any thoughts?

I don't know about that kit but I have used the cheap harbor freight guns with good results of course we just paint heavy equipment with them, if I where to paint a car that is another story.

I’ve only used the harbor freight spray gun to shoot primer. It does well for that and I would use it on something that doesn’t require a really nice finish. Look up a guy on yt, he tests all of these guns in the real world. He’s done the HF gun and you can see for yourself.

I see now they have much nicer units but I haven't tried them. Harbor freight seems to have stepped up there game

I would liken spray-guns to cue-sticks as far as results go.

Automotive paint is VERY EXPENSIVE. Basecoat can go for $500 a gallon or more. I have never figured out why somebody would use a cheap spray gun to spray well over a $1000 worth of paint on a car. If this makes sense to anybody please explain it to me. The entry level price for a decent, will get the job done, spraygun is about $120 and the best are Astro Pneumatics Green, Gold and Blue Europro models. Green are HVLP, (best for primer as they have low overspray) Gold are LVLP (similar to the Iwata LPH400LV gives a great finish but is relatively slow - might be the best choice for a beginner) and Blue are HTE (similar to the SATA RP which would be the preferred gun for a pro as they are fast). Harbor Freight has their Spectrum and Black Widow SATA clones that can do a decent job. ANI makes a couple of cheap guns that work well (F160) as does DeVilbiss with the FGL5 and GPI (which are only available from Europe).

Cheap guns are a false economy. You don't need top of the line SATA X5500, Iwata Supernova or DeVilbiss DV1 equipment to do the job right but you sure as hell need something better than shown in the link above considering the cost of automotive paint.
